I have never seen anything else like this! One of the most amazing and unusual historic structures in all of SF, a city of many beautiful structures. It was built in 1904 (price of the lot: $1800) as the headquarters of the Vedanta Society, a form of Hinduism which holds, basically, that God is everywhere and in everyone and that all religions have the same basic purpose. The architect was Joseph A. Leonard; more info on him here: www.outsidelands.org/leonard.php
