abstract digital art
This began with a blank canvas. I digitally created one black & white square section with a circle, which I changed to a shaded sphere with shading. After arranging multiple copies on a grid, I processed them in various ways and added color overlays in earth tones.
An alternative composition using the light shining on the distant mountains defying the clouds hanging around closer to the camera.
An earlier attempt at a glint shot of the Down Midnight approaching St Austell, this taken from the road bridge rather than looking through it and with somewhat softer light. 57602 1C50 2345 Paddington-Penzance.
Graffiti isn't always meant to be defacing or just random vandalism. Sometimes it becomes art and is so good you just have to sit back and take it all in. Here it's the entrance to a cycling shop and I just couldn't pull my eyes away from it.

So there I was, just trying to take a nice, normal thumb selfie when I get photo-bombed by this guy. But wait, that may be "fake news".... this is actually a newly hatched dragonfly that I found perched on the stairway leading to the lake and transferred to my thumb for a photo before his wings were capable of flight. In fact, alert viewers will note that his eyes remain cloudy, the protective coating still in place.
Please be advised that I neither "shoved" nor "body-slammed" him, nor did a single Russian influence me in the creation of this picture. And if the quality may be somewhat questionable, it is not because it was leaked by thousands of "anonymous sources close to and familiar with the circumstances." Rather the simple truth, without opinion, supposition, or innuendo, is that it was extremely difficult to keep the camera still with one hand while a dragonfly sat on the other. So endeth my Sunday op-ed.
I think I'm a little obsessed with Millenium bridge as this was a return to it just a week after I shot here for the Blue Feet image which I wasn't totally happy with.
I think this is a bit of an alternative view to what is normally shot. I quite like the multiple leading lines although might not be to some people's tastes.
I've been shooting the slow demise of this "White House" yearly, for a decade or so believing it was abandoned. This year's shoot introduced me to the colorful owner, Jane, who has not been allowed to live here by herself...a long and interesting story indeed! This image was taken with a Brownie Hawkeye flipped lens camera on Tri-X using a red filter.
when is he due in?
any time now. on a big cargo ship.
he'll be be suspicious. he don't know us.
so?.
so what are we gonna tell him?
we just give him the facts, is all.
you think that's a good idea?
we'll give him the alternative facts.
you mean, we just
make something up?
works in the white house, don't it?
good plan.
A slightly different crop than my previous post.
My friend Tom suggested a bit more sky in the distance.
There wasn't, but I could add a new sky and make a different crop.
