Cloning and characterization of zebrafish Lin-28a and Lin-28b.A. Deduced amino acid sequences of zebrafish Lin-28a and Lin-28b aligned against human, mouse and c.elegans Lin28 homologs. Blue boxes represent identical and similar amino acids. The characteristic Lin28 structure including cold-shock domain and two CCHC-Zn finger domains was highly conserved in zebrafish Lin-28a and Lin-28b. B. The phylogeny of the Lin28 family based on the alignment of full length of amino acid sequence. The branch length (X axis) in the rectangular cladogram represent the distances among those sequences calculated using BLOSUM62 substitution matrix.

Sometimes everything aligns just right. Here's the Empire State Building aligned within the east tower of the Manhattan Bridge.
At The Foot Alignment Clinic Neil Smith's internationally patented “Foot Alignment System” is used to adjust each patient’s foot and hence re-align their lower limb into its preferred biomechanical position. Neil has been developing this technique over the last two decades and is so confident in its application that each pair of orthotics supplied by our clinic has a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Not a photo I would normally post, but hey, I have 316 more photos to go. Sunday, Clint and I were going to take a ride, we made it to the end of the street and he noticed it wasn't driving right, he told me to get out and check the front tire, sure enough it was flat... shredded on the edge flat! No one was open Sunday, so Ted took it Monday morning to get 2 new front tires, this morning I took it for the alignment. My family thinks it's time to trade in my Infinity G35 for a 4-door Grandma car. I don't want a second car payment so I will have to look around for something affordable that doesn't break the bank
This is the PS4 Dashboard. The onscreen images line up on edge, making the visual pull together.

These images are from two very similar projects that I've just helped my friends with. They want to be able to hold bike frames on their alignment tables by the head tube. They both purchased used bench centers, and we had to make bull nose centers for them.
The fit up needed to be very close, so we were working to within a few tenths.
The other complication was that one of the centers on each set was spring loaded and utilized a rack and pinion to withdraw it... so we had to mill those rack gears.
success! i've managed to rip out the portion of Sensor that does the registration.
now to massively refactor the code so it can actually be included in libfreenect...
Invitation #4 for Total Alignment free workshop on Dirty Footprints Studio. Total self expression.
Started with shapes again, large purple circle, small purple circle, yellow rectangle, and green triangle. Painting the background while leaving white space brought out the elephants. I loved decorating the elephants!
Here's the results of my DIY alignment. I am well within spec with everything now, and I decided to try 1mm of toe out to the rear to make the car turn better. You can see how far off the front toe was, especially on the driver's side.
This is yet another piece I created for the "Inkwell" group show at the Chicago Diner in Logans Square. It is mixed media on paper and the piece itself, measures 11.75" x 15.75".
If you like this, why not add it to your art collection? As I type this, it is still available over on Etsy:

From from top to bottom, you can see two bright objects: Venus and Jupiter. Two fainter objects are the star Regulus to the lower left of Venus and the planet Mars between Venus and Jupiter. The predawn hours of the mornings of October 7, 8, and 9 will have similar alignments. earthsky.org/tonight/moon-venus-and-jupiter-align-in-morn...
This morning I observed the grand alignment of planets!
In general, alignments of planets are pretty common for us, but this year we could see a rare combination. All planets that we can see with naked eye (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn) are aligned this month in the same order as they lie from the Sun.
Meanwhile, there are Uranus and Neptune in the same area of the sky I could capture as tiny tiny dots in the picture. I’m not sure Instagram would even resolve them here, but I made some captions so that you know where planets are.
Unfortunately there is no Mercury in that picture. Well, it’s kind of in the frame though, but was covered by the trees at the time of capturing. However, I observed it with naked eye later this morning.
You can spot the bright Moon between Venus and Mars, and, in my opinion, it takes a cool position in the picture because it can represent “our planet” in the sky.
If you missed the alignment this morning, you still have some time to look at it during the next few days.
I'm pleased to announce that this image and the one below, "Pipe Dreams", have been nominated in the Photography Masters Cup 2012. This one in the Fine Art Category.
