Several of these 3-5 mm diameter circle "things" were found on a rotting log in deep woods at Patapsco Valley State Park, Maryland. I do not have a clue as to what they are. Several have suggested a type of eyelash fungus but if so, it is a species I have not seen before -- the hairs are under the rim not attached to it like the eyelash fungi I am use to. As far as I can tell it could be a fungus, slime mold or an alien invasion from Jupiter's moon Io. I really could use some help with the identification --thanks. Undate March 23, 2013 -- It appears that this probably is Scutellinia scutellata that was unable to last through the winter -- many thanks to those that helped make the identification possible.

Alien Abductions is terrific on the net alien game. Select suitable weapon, abduct objects, collect points and visit the following level. Abduct, morph, and blast every thing inside your way. From earthlings to houses, nothing at all is secure. Have entertaining!

Love this, I see him every year. If you look closely it's almost as if he's gonna bite off that woman's head!

Small version of the Alien APC.

Yes. It looks a bit weird. It has a bad height/width aspect ratio because of the operator seat inside. And there is no steering.

But:

- Both doors can be opened.

- The turrets can turn.

- The large turret can be stowed away to the back.

- The operator seat can move and turn.

- 4-6 Weapons can be placed under the roof.

- and ... it is small enough to fit into my Alien dropship.

alien baby for abby

The aliens descend in ships with pinchers down below

To grip the humans by their hips, or sometimes by the toe

You’d think these peeps would scream, or at least let out a cry,

But half of them just see it as a chance for free to fly.

The other half too dumb to realize they’re about to die

But what about that one ship being flown by just a guy?

The saucer up and to the right, with human at the station

An imposter? A traitor? He’s resisting the invasion!

Now he’s got one in the grip and he’s heading toward the sky!

High up in the ship and soon he’ll let it free to fly

Aliens with wings will get them chopped soon after birth

So this thing is sure to pop when it comes crashing down to earth!

But is this lone man enough to save us from these aliens?

This simple silly man with pointed nose and no real friends?

While sure, this man’s a hero - it’s no “duty” like a cop

He just likes to squeeze & drop these mean green cooties ‘til they pop!

The Year started off in a rather detailed and controlled manner, I would construct acrylic paintings carefully in order to represent distorted news imagery (Imagery distorted through physical manipulation). The original idea with this was to emphasize that we are fed information through the news that forces us to see things from a certain perspective. But there is so much information that we do not see, due to it being censored.

This paintings shows three almost alien-like figures who appear to be operating war machinery, their featureless faces give them a lack of identity and so they are not being described as human. The hand is emphasized to show it’s operation of machinery, that is responsible for causing suffering in times of war. This also raises the awareness that humans are capable of ending a life in an instance, and in times of war, will not hesitate to do so.

The background further alienates the setting as there are no objects that would otherwise help to add a location to the painting. The figures are therefore suspended in an empty space, with nothing but a purple and yellow sky behind them, which could further the idea of the painting being set upon a different planet.
