I believe this was a drained fountain bottom. The stones appear to have been submerged. They still seem to be a reminder of the alien movies.
The Alien Botanical Gardens are open 9-5 every day and invite curious guests to tiptoe through the hyper-tulips, tame the carnivorous pond fronds, and evacuate to the parking lot in an orderly fashion if the local space octopus ("Big Billy") attacks the conservatory again.
Is there anybody alive who looked at the LEGO Friends Botanical Garden set and didn't wish it was a full building, not 2/3 of one? Of course not, we had them all killed for consensus. Then I built the missing wing as best I could; ain't got all these newfangled round pieces, I take my coffee black and my LEGO rectangular.
Flying saucer crash lands in a forest leaving the stranded aliens to make the best of a bad situation.
A week after my computer broke, my camera decided not to turn on either. I tried it all, switching batteries, charging batteries, no win. Whenever I put in the grip, the display would wack up, but no power, no photos.
According to Canon, there is no apparent reason for this, it just happens. So I tried my grip on Fernando's camera (in this picture) and the display wacked out too. But unlike my camera, his worked after. I conclude that a flaw in the battery messed up my grip and my camera. But Canon says I have to pay for this.
I love Canon. I love faulty cheap products. They're the best.

my old gymnastics teammate graciously let me take photographs of her family for a class assignment. her daughter is precious... but doesn't like to stay put for more than 2 seconds! which makes taking photographs quite a chore.
The team from Creative Assembly are taking the series back to its original roots from the 1979 movie by Ripley Scott providing a truly terrifying Alien that is more believable and as intelligent as he is hostile. This is the Alien game you’ve always wanted to play. If you’re a fan of the series in anyway, Alien Isolation is posing to be a hit in late 2014.
Alien Isolation will be available in late 2014 for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

There is a specific rhythm to exploring Berlin with a camera like the Mamiya C330. This isn’t like some of my other cameras. You don’t use it to snap pictures, as the kids say. To me, this is a camera for constructing pictures, if that is something that I can say.
The pictures you can see here are from May 2024. I didn’t have a good night of sleep one day, and I decided to feel productive and left the house with my Mamiya C330 at hand. I took my bike on a photographic ride to Berlin-Adlershof with a goal in mind: I wanted to test an Ilford HP5 with some red filters. Not only that, but I had wondered about how the red filter would affect the pictures from the Mamiya C330 for a while. And since it was a bright, sunny day, it felt like it was the right time to put this idea into practice.
I took this picture of this orchid at the Rockerfeller Center Orchid Show. To me it looks like a little alien man posing as a flower! Just look, it has a face and elaborate hat!
And no....no photoshop involved except for my little watermark. That face was definitely in the orchid. You just have to look at it from the side and not from the top down. =) freaky!
