"Stealth Care: wellness from the algorithm" delves into the convergence of personal health data, AI, and artistic research. Originating from AI analysis of non-specific symptoms, it intriguingly aligns with a subsequent medical diagnosis of a rare muscle disease.

does this ad campaign make sense to ANYONE??? After seeing yet another ad with their UI, and inside the search box it said "the algorithm" I thought - hmm - maybe if I ask ask.com what it means it will let me know.
Sadly, ask doesn't know what the algorithm is either (as it's suggestions popup shows)

Working on a different "genetic representation" for the rules for these things, trying to make them more evolvable. This is a 2nd generation of selection "individual", looking promising. I've got gene linkage now, so complex traits are more likely to survive recombination.
Our son Adam Florin gave a fascinating talk about generative music at Algorithmic Art Assembly, hosted by Gray Area Art + Technology. He started with a quick demo of Patter, his music composition software, then took us on an illuminating journey through the many people and ideas which inspired him to create his cool freeform generative sequencer.
Brian Eno, who coined the phrase “generative music”, recently likened it to gardening -- but the material practice is just as much rooted in centuries of formal aesthetics, predictive statistics and industrial automation. How can we negotiate the tension between organic and and the mechanical in the algorithmic arts?
Adam has created some amazing digital tools and art exhibits in that space. It was great to hear what he's learned in this fascinating field, exploring the intersection of human and machine creativity. And to top it off, he gave this talk on his birthday, which was the best present of all!

I was experimenting HDR photography.
Due to Ubuntu user, I was using Qtpfsgui v.1.7.1, an HDR software editing for linux.
This picture was using Gradient Domain High Dynamic Range Compression by Fattal .
Alpha = 2

Day 4 and we have started printing, yeah !
Algorithmes Sérigraphiques is a week long creative workshop using Processing to generate images and silk screen to print the results.
Un workshop d'une semaine avec du Processing et de la sérigraphie.

The 4C-Maximal Planar Graph obtained by Ordinal Color Jump Spiral Coloring Algorithm did not need to find the spiral chain. The coloring was automatic finished by the coloring rules, when the start region and the direction was determined.
A collaboration with onformative.com. A pixelrow of a photograph is taken and then sorted by colorvalues. Done with processing.
Another pattern generator made with Processing. The algorithm generates unique combinations based on four processes : transformation, rotation, symmetry and repetition.
The process can be watched at the following web address : tisanesound.free.fr/

•Sometimes it is important to fine tune the algorithm parameters for your vehicle routing problems
•The constraints of algorithm parameters are also taken into account

Because I don't list any "likes" or "interests" in my Facebook profile, FB guessed at some. Yeah, this is really going to help you sell ads, FB. Good move, geniuses.
Algorithmic art, generated in Processing, edited (just for color assignments from algorithmically-generated palette) in Illustrator.

Test image for the workshop. Three 'A''s generated in Processing with varying contour widths. From this we printed with different colours on a white and black T-Shirt to get an idea of the results. One of the main limitations of silkscreen printing is of course colour but also line width and therefore overall definition of the drawing.
More to come...

inversi was shown at our solo show at die Botschaft, and is made of an algorithmically generated, 3-d printed object, micro-controllers,LEDs, and a pellegrino bottle. the code varies the frequency and occasionally blinks each LED. the effect of the simultaneous differing frequencies is that the piece appears to shimmer at different speeds across its surfaces, creating optical interference patters. the piece was situated on a marble mantel in the gallery and is a meditation on scale, mass production and the projection of code across three dimensions.
