I had several ideas for taking a photo today but unfortunately after I put my back out, they all went by the wayside and I spent the day editing a memory book I've been asked to do by a member of my family.

I wanted a nice, minimal look and feel for this album documenting my first 5k's. The album will be 8x8, and will include the Circle the City for the Symphony 5k and the Race Away from Domestic Violence 5k.

Zwykła Maps (zwykla.com) is an initiative seeking formal choices that merge the need for knowledge and experience with expectations a contemporary man has toward traditional paper publications. The initiative aims at creating a form that draws on the potential of digital media. This potential enables low-budget creators to find an increasingly wider audience for their works and contribute to developing collective ideas not limited by space or scope. Our aim becomes a reality as two concepts of albums. The first one is a paper, large-format publication resembling a folding map. The other one is a digital album designed specifically for mobile devices and readers (such as tablets or ultrabooks), which have created a new segment in the publishing market. The idea of a digital album is based on a conscious and reasonable utilization of modern technology, which removes the limits of plain text and still images. Such innovative solutions include the simultaneous use of sound and animation, as well as the ability to refer to external sources instantly through the worldwide web.
However, the two concepts presented above are merely indirect elements of a much larger objective, as our main intention is to facilitate creation and publishing of original works that use diverse forms of content distribution. Content that is highly unusual, we should add, as it escapes defining through our everyday means of communication – our mouths.

Album design for 'The Music of Michel Legrand', which includes works from the 1964 French film 'The Umbrellas of Cherbourg' (a musical love story whereby one of leading love interests works in an umbrella boutique). Vibrant, colourful and eyecatching designs with a main umbrella/love illustration to reflect the film.

For this version of the album design, I took alot of inspiration from Travis Scott's music videos. They are very colorful and accompany the energetic style of his music very well.

Album design for 'Music From The Transformers Trilogy'. With this release I used a combination of subtle image based references to the Transformers films (glowing mechanical eyes and metallic-looking cosmic spheres) along with 3D, mechanised, angular pieces of typographic shapes, seemingly fitting together to form letterforms and whole words in a similar action to that of an Autobot changing form.
This is the first "page" you see when you open the Jacket. The photograph of the band was taken by another artist, but was at a terribly low resolution, so I rotoscoped it a bit. :-)
I did this album design front back and center-- A freelance job for a "local" band, this work illustrates my ability to work with a client, work under pressure, and make something unique and wonderful.
The band is called "The Afternoon Round," and they are a Michigan band... they have a fun assortment of good music that I dig, and one of the bandmates is a friend of mine.
I am quite pleased with this work.

I thought the steely design of this sundial contrasted extremely well with the green vegetation in the background, reminded me of the Hipgnosis Album Sleeve Designs of the 70's
Since the taken of the photo's on the 29th Jan 2011 of a good friend of mine that did a tandem sky dive i needed to find some were to print my photos but were i could use my own designs as full A4 pages and not the ones were places on the web only offered there own templates. After looking on the web for places that might offer this kind of service i decided to make my own photo album that way i could use my own custom designs which i had made.
here is now over 300 photos made in to a 100 page photo album designed using Adobe Photoshop CS5 & lots of coffee lol

This is a mini album that I made for a Christmas gift. Paper line that I used was from the Paper Studio called Mirabelle. I used the mini album design from Laura Denison from Following the Paper Trail, called Stack the Deck. The flowers I made with some of my punches and inked them with Tim Holtz distressing ink, Vintage Photo, also used Recollections pearls. All the punch accents is with a Martha Stewart punch.

Encuentros que tienen como fin acercar el diseño a la sociedad desde la sociedad. Hacer un foro muy abierto, heterogéneo y en igualdad de condiciones; en el que los ponentes, con total libertad, exponen su visión, experiencias, expectativas, emociones etc. sobre cualquier rama del diseño y en el que el público tiene MUCHO QUE DECIR.
El evento consta de 3 charlas en las que los ponentes exponen un tema durante 15 minutos y durante los siguientes 15 el público lo comenta y debate entre si. En la primera edición en León de DESIGN & DRINKS, que tuvo lugar el jueves 12 de marzo´15 en el Bar Belmondo, participaron como ponentes Juan Luis García, sobre el diseño de los instrumentos musicales, Cristina Olea Rubio y Beatriz Fernández Pascual sobre el Diseño HANDMADE, y Óscar de la Huerga sobre el mundo discográfico: discos, reediciones, formatos, estado actual del mercado.

The men in the Lightbulb Suits from the A Momentary Lapse Of Reason album. Designed by Storm Thorgerson / Hipgnosis.
Storm Thorgerson has said that the Salvador Dali-ish image idea came from one being at a Pink Floyd gig and thinking how can I sum up Floyd live - Mr Light meets Mr Sound.
My first legit studio sample album will arrive in a couple weeks. I can't wait! I ordered the top of the line flush mount album from Forbeyon .
