Alberto Bial transformou o Basquete Cearense na primeira equipe do Nordeste a participar do campeonato da Liga Nacional de Basquete, o Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB). Paulistano,encantou-se por Fortaleza e segue em sua segunda temporada no Basquete Cearense. É técnico de basquete há mais de quarenta anos. Atuou como jogador e técnico em diversos clubes nacionais e também no exterior (Peru e Emirados Árabes). Diferencia-se como líder por agregar ao esporte atributos educacionais e psicológicos que ele compartilha na quadra, em palestras, ao comentar jogos e nos projetos sociais que idealiza e coordena.

Alberto holds his smile even after pedalling a 1,5 mile dust road on his old bike. He lives in São Lourenço do Piauí, a small town where there's electrical energy but not in its rural area, where Alberto lives amongst fig trees, goats and mules.
As VP of the LSNA Board in the 80's Alberto represented LSNA at an international crime prevention conference in Paris and met President George H. W. Bush. Alberto was involved in crime prevention issues around the schools.
