Last summer this Gerbera was purchased at the grocer. I kept it alive in my basement with light, barely hanging on I set it out this spring - this is the second bloom!!

This one is from Sunday. Last evening I stopped by the river and noticed a man in camouflage with a huge lens. My heart sunk and I thought, dang now everyone knows about my spot! He promised me he did not tell others about the spot and as it turns out he is a nice dude. He had an 800mm fixed lens! And a tripod that made my mouth water! His instructions were to put the camera on Shutter mode and shoot no less than 1/2500. So I'm going out again this morning before my work shift and give that a go...no doubt my new friend in camouflage will be there too. Oh and he is from New Hampshire....yikes!

So once again I have captured this composition. While I know that it is not entirely original for me, I can't get away from how much I like this spot. The way the water pulls your eye through the landscape and the contrast of the vibrant blue and the stark orange are so eye catching, I had to share one last image of this.

well as the title says, its my entry for the Second Life Cracked photo contest . I dont think I ever had such a banging pain doing a picture before and I spent the last hours working on it. I'm still not satisfied with it but time's running and i need to enter it now i think.
