Hvidbjerg Strand Pier March sunset, Jylland, Denmark

Last Sunday evening at my neighbour river. We've just changed the clock from summer time to winter time (normal time) in the early morning on this day. Sunset time is about 5:40 pm now. Getting dark so quickly after that. Winter is approaching.

A pink rhododendron - part of a huge tree / shrub in the gardens at Brockhole, the Lake District Visitor Centre, Windermere. This is a super place to visit if you have children and it has a very nice cafe. The gardens are magnificent, but that's about all my sister and I found to interest us, as we aren't really in the right age range for adventure playgrounds, treetop escapades etc. :o) But it was a day of showers, so we had a good morning there.

Processed in Topaz Glow with help from PicMonkey and a lot of fiddling with this and that. Hope you like it !

It was raining all day, but by the end of the day the sky clear up so I decided to take a walk by the woods after work and try to catch that special 3D pop that is only possible under particular light conditions but not quite there yet.

What do you think? Does it have that 3D look?

At last, our wisteria has bloomed. It's well established in our garden, but has never bloomed before. At last, it has two blooms, even after the leaves appeared. Just had to go down and take a photograph this evening, so this is evening light.

Perhaps you have had the same experience with your gardens, if you're fortunate to have a garden / yard as I am ?

I am sorry but I am a bit/lots OFF - so I cannot comment on all of you but will catch up as soon as I can

After two weeks of rain, the drought conditions have been mitigated and the flood plains are full again. Thank you, Lord!

Flower of a succulent in the family Crassulaceae. Each flower is less than an inch in length.

We had so much dense fog last night that the garden was bedecked with pearls of fog.

Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for your kind comments, awards and faves -- I appreciate them all.

When I visited Oban, there was a very strong gale which prevented a journey by ferry to Iona :( However, I spent a wonderful day walking in the storm and the next morning, there was a lovely calm and a rainbow :)

A pink hibiscus after the rain shower.

Originating in China, the cotton rose technically isn't a rose but a species of hibiscus (Hibiscus mutabilis). Sometimes called the Confederate rose because, according to legend, the flowers soaked up the blood spilled on battlefields during the civil war.
