Would it be summer, it would be filled with people, and I would not be allowed to photograph at this place. But waves, cold and snow makes the place less welcoming.
I'm trying.
5 good things: 1::Spending the weekend in Door County 2::Ending another work week 3::Dinner with friends before they leave me again ;) 4::Gardening 5::Feeling inspired
a beautiful elegant mute swan (okay maybe the back view is not that elegant - but aren't the feathers beautiful!) on Blackford Pond, Edinburgh
Hearts have a tendency to defy gravity once in awhile.Yes even you single ones! Love yourself hard with a nice meal/gift and don't forget that you are amazing!
The original photo was taken of Lake Michigan. Photoleap was used to create this image. Have a fantastic day!
I may be down, but I will stay afloat.
The past year has been kind. It filled me with numerous opportunities, it strengthened me with difficult challenges, yet equipped me with the right tools to combat them.
Decisions have been made. Changes are coming.
May 2014 be as fruitful, as challenging, and as fun for everyone. May God continue to shower us with his love and blessings. Wishing you all the best this coming year!
Here's to new beginnings!
I've been spending much more time this year on the water for a couple of reasons: 1) I experienced a few unpleasant run-ins with ticks in the woods earlier in the year and I am unaware of any aquatic species; 2) I am finally feeling strong enough to fight the occasional battle between wind and canoe with the expectation that I will not end up in a sheltered cove for several days; 3) It's been hot and it's the best place I can think of for working on my tan lines.
It also provides a great opportunity to observe some of the aquatic flowers that populate the shorelines. In addition to the water lilies which I've documented elsewhere (yet continue to be photographically irresistible), here are a few more which provide interest throughout much of the summer.
This is just a picture I while I was in Michigan. It looks very similar to iPhone wallpaper or something (at least to me) haha I sorta like it

Been working on this for the past week or so. I’ve been wanting to make a boat for a while now. I tried a couple times in the past using a similar design for the hull, but I never finished any of em. Woke up a few days ago with some inspiration to finish one of these bad boys, so I did. Had a lot of fun takin da pics in da bath tub. I got a lot of pics I liked and I couldn’t decide so I just posted all of them. sorry

Last night Marianne and I went down south to shoot some images of the coast with a contact from ausphotography.net.au. The light was pretty uninspiring but at least there were some patterns in the cloud. This particular rock was the main subject of interest for me and Owen. Shot taken with a CPL and card on the horizon. Some colour and smoothing adjustments made otherwise not too different from SOOC.
