Seeing these ducklings, bobbing around in the water caught my attention

They have taken to it so naturally........

The swan in all her beauty...she's well traveled just look how she navigates the water with such grace ...take pause, the sun kisses her exposing her exquisite....those aren't cracks scratches, or dings... they are her beauty marks... She's earned those... She floats in the calm waters... she's still.. be still splendid one... Day turns to night turns to day....her patience turns to longing...waiting for her mate.... to rock her boat...................

Fiddlers Ferry april 2021

A mirror-like surface of the Kennet and Avon Canal with colourful narrowboats which are home to people living on the water. It was nice to have a white Mute swan gently gliding into the frame too. The Kennet & Avon Canal runs for 87 miles from the centre of Bath to Reading connecting the Bristol channel, river Avon and the river Thames, important navigation route in the past before railways, now popular tourist attraction, both on the water and alongside with miles of walks and cycling routes. This is the second image from my "flower in the puddle" shots I took in the rain yesterday. This one is processed a bit differently from yesterday's post, which you can see in the first comment.

I have a favour to ask of my contacts. I know a lot of you follow Rockinmonique but to those of who do not would you kindly take a minute to vote on an image she has submitted in the 2015 Rare Disease Contest. Monique has a rare condition called MdDS and was diagnosed five years ago. How she takes any shots with her condition blows my mind...let alone the quality and caliber of her images. It truly is phenomenal. Her image is currently in second place by a very small margin and with your help we can change that. Voting is open to everyone you do not need a Facebook page to vote and you can vote once every ten days. Here is the link to her image: (Monique Wilson)
