Pre-construction Phase: top floor. This small classroom will be converted into a relaxation room for those who use the learning disability support service.

 

Here, you can see that the room is now bare and the condition of the walls and floor have been investigated.

The day the building was handed back to Devon County Council by the contractors. The children's library, being used as a holding area for the main library's mobile shelving.

Pre-construction Phase: An important part of this phase of the project was making sure that the original features of the building were protected from damage, such as the oak banisters.

Pre-construction Phase: ground floor. After the refurbishment, there will be one reception point for any enquiry, whether it is regarding the library, adult learning, or anything else and it will be near the entrance in this space.

 

During the pre-construction phase, the contractor used a white board to warn any visitors of the hazards in the building.
