Shelving underway but lots more boxes to unpack!

The day the building was handed back to Devon County Council by the contractors. First floor library with its new shelves in position.

Ground floor library space. Huge steel frame supporting the opening in the wall - strong enough to drive a train over, apparently!

Pre-construction Phase: removing furniture, built-in units and intrusive structural surveys make things quite dusty. This is the 'delapidation' stage - seems like an appropriate name!

Pre-construction Phase: top floor. This room was the staff kitchen. It will be refurbished as a laundry room for the learning disability support service. You can see a hole in the floor from the intrusive asbestos survey.
