The courtyard demolition work is completed with the removal of the lift shaft. The area is now ready for the construction to commence.

Pre-construction Phase: top floor. This adult learning classroom was known as 'Market Room'. It will become part of the learning disability support service in the daytime and will continue to be an adult learning room in the evenings. It will have improved storage facilities, new furniture, an interactive whiteboard and a kitchenette, not to mention better lighting, heating and decor.

 

Here, you can see the cupboards are being emptied of junk before they are removed, and carpet has been pulled up to assess the floor condition. The whiteboard was donated to a local charity.
