"I've been a Hero for years, but no matter what I do, I never feel like one." A veteran 2.5 Hero who has seen the horrors of battle between Villain and Hero alike.

One of the GP9s that the Adrian & Blissfield used to pull its "The Old Road Dinner Train." It is shown in June 1997 in Blissfield, Michigan. (Scanned from a slide)
Adrian wasn't a bad hypnotist, it's just that he didn't know his own limitations. You see, as any self-respecting insect should know, wasps are immune from all forms of fly hypnosis. They have a circuit in their brains which is hard-wired for the kill and cannot be circumvented. Adrian didn't know this until the day he tried to hypnotise Hank the wasp's son, Eli. Adrian should have stuck to hypnotising lady flies for his own personal pleasure and entertaining the old flies down at the nectar bar for free drinks. But Adrian was a dreamer, he dreamt of being bigger, better and bolder than other fly hypnotists; hence is demise. One night after a few too many nectar spritzers in the fly section of the nectar bar, he sneaked into the wasp bar, only to see Eli standing outside chatting up a lady wasp. "Look into my eyes, not the face, look into the eyes" he said to Eli. Initially Eli thought that Adrian was a few petals short of a flower, and ignored him. "Look into the eyes, you are feeling drowsy" Adrian persisted, getting into Eli's face. As we all know, the etiquette down the nectar bar is no killing unless you really have to, or it is a Friday night when anything goes. Eli had no choice in this however as the lady wasp was beginning to lick her lips, hence the end of poor Adrian. Eli bit his head off, offered it to the lady and took the body home for supper - it saved on a kebab on the way home, after all. Poor Adrian, apparently his dying words were "You are feeling slee... oh shi...".

Way Way Back Machine. The two of them met at Camp. And that was the whole problem. Or maybe it wasn't a problem at all. Maybe those few short months they were together was exactly what they wanted. Adrian wanted to date a hot girl. Kathy wanted to feel like she was worthy of dating someone who was above all that high school drama she was so intrisically part of. With nothing in common, I can only imagine at the conversations they had, or avoided, for fear of discovering the enormous gap between them.
Adrian and I drifted, as Camp friends do, several years ago. Kathy and I...well, that was a bit messier.

For the casual tourist, this is quite possibly one of the most popular photography spots of the whole Monument Valley tour.

Stranger #74 – Adrian – the story behind this picture slightly differs from the usual stuff. Meet Adrian Zandberg – cofounder and one of the leaders of the new Polish left-wing political party – Razem (“Together”). He is definitely the best known and the most recognizable person in this group. For those of you not familiar with the Polish political scene, Razem has a social-democratic programme, which can be compared to what Bernie Sanders is currently doing in USA. The group consists of regular people, who - as to my knowledge - have no political background whatsoever so there are no corrupted politicians backing them up. But let’s get back to business – the moment I knew he was coming to Wrocław, Poland I decided to try and take this portrait. It was definitely a less spontaneous encounter than the usual ones, because I contacted him the day before to introduce myself and ask to take a photo of him. When I approached him the next day during a women’s rights manifestation held in my city, it turned out that he barely got a glimpse of my message. Despite that, he agreed - with no hesitation at all - to pose later on. Well, about one and a half hour later I was able to catch up with him at a very fortunate moment when he could spare a few minutes for me. As it was a cloudy and rainy day the light was excellent pretty much everywhere. I decided that the best place to take pictures would be in the middle of a side street nearby. He seemed slightly concerned but there was virtually no traffic at the time and we weren’t interrupted by any car ;) I took a few pictures, briefly asked him a thing or two and we parted our ways because Adrian had an important meeting scheduled and a train to catch. He seems to be a really friendly guy, especially considering the fact that he’s a politician and you don’t get many like him at any political scene :) It was a very nice encounter and I hope you like the result.
