I thought long and hard before posting this shot. The composition is horrible, but it shows off nicely the car itself.

We're not used to this much snow in our area (or even snow), so this intrepid gentleman took good advantage of the weather.

I enjoy any event that features old cars, truck, and yes, motor cycles. And I was quite pleased how well the film handled the high contrast lighting that a cloudless New Mexico day provides.

This title captures why I made this image. The bait in this instance was this downstate Illinois gas station and convenience store I passed on my way to Paducah, KY a couple of weeks ago. I knew this place because a friend and I had stopped for lunch at the next-door diner. It was drizzling and darkly overcast, not the best combination for this 100-speed film. This scene caught me eye and I pulled over. Thanks the tackle. The place was busy with bubba trucks and beater cars, one of which was parked just inches from the bicycle. The lighted sign offered to add some punch to the scene. I had to dodge traffic and endure the uncomfortable gazes of numerous people watching -- wondering? -- what I was doing. Cropping the car was a challenge. I had the opportunity to make two images. This is the best of the two.
