This is Lottie, our new fleet motorcycle

In addition to railroads another interest of mine is unrestored classic cars from the 1960s on up that are in the wild and not at car shows or in museums.

I came across this rare bird-a turbo Trans Am-which was only built in the 1980 and 1981 model years. I love the mean looking rectangular headlamps and the hood scoop with the display lights facing the driver.

This is Hamish, the new addition to our household.

He is a 10 week old golden retriever.

I would just like to apologise to my friends and contacts, I have been out of touch lately due to the fact that my laptop died and has gone of to computer heaven but now I have got a new one I'm back online and I will catch up with you all soon, inbetween playing with my new DSLR

The opportunity arose - so I've spent the money which would have bought me a nice set of Meridian monoblocks and pre-amp on this instead :)

It is only recently that the mosquito nets have been added. Since malaria is one of the major causes of death in Sierra Leone and Africa, this is an important addition.

In addition to be exceedingly talented, Kelly Clarkson also happens to be a body-positive champion and a skilled social-media user. The singer recently responded to a malicious body-shaming Twitter user in a glorious way that both defended her point of view and didn’t take the...

I recently purchased Scarf Style...which I love, and I received Knitting Beyond The Edge by Nicky Eppstein as a gift from a friend! (Yay). (I also rec'd Vogue Knitting on Cables from the same friend too but no photos). I love the two new books because it's about the stitches and I've been looking for knitting reference books lately.

I've also added the photo of the second sock I made, which I accidently felted today in the washing machine. Luckily, it still fits. :-)

Glamour additions, Week Six on Bristol Illustration paper from Hahnemühle, full post here:https://alicehendon.com/2020/08/glamour-additions-week-six/

An addition by R&M Construction Company.

Dubbed Tiger, the new addition to the Jones/Behrens "racing" stable.

A local landmark famous for its C14 carvings, a team of workers known as the Banbury carvers worked on many local churches. The C13 cruciform church was enlarged in the early C14 with the addition of a west tower, the widening of the aisles and work on the transepts. The large chancel was added in 1408-19 by New College who employed Richard Winchcombe, who went on to build the Divinity School in Oxford. The church was restored in 1831-4 by J.C. Buckler who replaced the window traceries, then in 1866-70 by Sir George Gilbert Scott and again in 1886 by G.O. Scott. Sad to say, the interior is not as rich in period detail as its local rival Bloxham. The magnificent tower and spire were completed by c.1350 and the cornice has the same wonderful carvings as the cornices of the north and south aisles. On the south cornice are grotesque characters while the north has the famous group of musicians as well as birds and beasts. Over the east window are the arms and head of William of Wykeham, Bishop of Winchester, who founded New College, Oxford in 1379. When the west wall of the aisles were opened to the transepts c1350 two elaborately carved capitals were added the north with four knights with linked arms, the south with female heads, a signature of the North Oxfordshire carvers whose work can be seen at Bloxham, Hanwell, Alkerton and at Shenington. Stained glass - south window armorial glass by Willement 1834, transept windows by Ward & Hughes and Clayton & Bell, west window 1912 Powell and Sons.

This door came from the house DH grew up in. His grandparents' built the house. This was the front door. Now it opens into the addition where our guest room is at the end of the hall.

~edit~...

After a discussion with Georgie, we have decided that this little sweetie looks more like a "Lil" Bit than an Ity Bit....so...Meet Lil Bit. She was adopted today. She was too cute to pass by and was welcomed with love and hugs. Georgie is thrilled to have a sweet lil sister to look after. He will be showing her the ropes for the next few weeks, so expect to see her on a regular basis. Sorry for any confusion..lol

Richmond/Senator Milton Marks Branch

The newest addition to our family - Any ideas for a name for this little cutie?

These signs have been going up over the last couple of weeks or so a few blocks from my house. Funny thing is, I have no idea what school they're talking about. Oh well, at least they're trying. I think this relates to a (new?) state law increasing penalties for distributing drugs near a school.

On May 7, 2025, BCIT will announce Mott Electric’s gift of $2 million in support of BCIT’s Electrical

Building Addition at the Burnaby campus. As a long-time champion of electrical trades, Dan Mott’s

commitment to the Electrical Building Addition propelled the project from plans to reality.

Spring 2015 brick additions

This is an addition by Tiadaghton Contractors Inc.

It has been a while since I have uploaded to the craft library. These are some books and mags I have picked up over the last six months or so.

During construction. An enclosure was needed during renovation due to repeated storms and bad weather

I need to invest in a darkroom

we discovered that we had it too close=our mistake-so later the bobcat guy came back and readjusted it.

The cement filled wading pool isnt a wading pool-there was extra cement so we partially filled it as this will be where our covered deck is off our new master suite

This was an empty building in Ladd's Addition for years. It was a mustard yellow and I always loved it. It is now a residence and while it it nice to see it loved, I think it looks a little too precious now.

The placement of the church is maybe the most interesting. It is in what was an original suburban development. It there are a few non residential buildings like small stores around traffic circles, but this is the only one I can think of that is just in and among houses.
