*Photograph taken from the top This is a sculpture I created using styrofoam spheres, black foam board, wire and black acrylic paint. This piece focuses on one of the most relevant addictions today which is technology. With the development in the world today, evrything is starting to become technology based and oriented. The most addictive and common technology is mobile phones since the user is able to access social networks easily and the device can be carried everywhere. The message I want to show through this sculpture is this common scene of people having their mobile phones glued to their hand at all times. Isolation is something I also want to point out since technology is decreasing social and face-to-face interactions. This is shown through color, composition and placement of the figures on the board since they are isolated from each other and connected to technology.
The 9th Annual atTAcK addiction E-Racing the Stigma 5K drew 2,500 participants and hundreds of cheering onlookers and volunteers to New Castle, Del., on Saturday, March 5.
