Smart Coffee is my favorite place in Kyoto for a cup of honest to goodness heaven and a quick fix for my addiction to good coffee.
I've added so many to my collection lately, I'm not even sure how many I have now. Well, maybe I do, but just don't wanna admit it.

The Champagne-colored dial watch I had for over 2 months before I found a shirt to wear it with - it's a hard color to match!
YES, I have an addiction for mugs ... and these are some of my boys' mugs ... they're all from BODUM, and are very solid. (they're real mugs, not plastic) Aren't they cute or what ? (Oct. 16th 2008)

Third in my mini-series of daily addictions is the Moleskine. I have several going at the same time, each with its own purpose, each one treasured and loved. I'm weird, I know.

Quietly pleased with this. Was bloody hard! A small tribute to the international Light Junkies community who provide inspiration, tuition and mind-blowing images on a daily basis! :D (Sorry if I missed anyone!)

Some crave chocolate or chips - but I'd not even set an eye on these whenever there is a strawberry nearby. I'm glad, though, that they only grow in spring because when I start eating strawberries, I only stop when my belly hurts...

This is my Concentration for AP Studio Art.
I picked this because it's something everyone can relate to, i wanted the photos and the models to connect with the actual Addiction, so i found model's who have had past or problems with there certain Addiction, or expereinced others in their life with the Addiction. The whole concept is to have it very realistic, to show what the Addiction stands for and the uncensorship of it, seeing now, these things are censored i felt the need to exploit reality among teens and young adults. I wanted to show Addictions are not only in Adult buy everybody, we all have an Addiction and this is to help people to over come them.

Bringing back an old well used setup to try it with a new twist, more of which in a moment.
The basics are tried and tested, a raised base of glass painted black on the underside, to give the reflective surface.
Under this, an 11W CFL lamp in a Pringles tube snoot, pointing to a yellow card backdrop, giving the graduation from light in the centre, falling away toward the edges.
To the sides, diffusion screens with 20W CFL lamps in Pringles Tubes reflectors behind them.
Normally I would have left it like this, but I wanted to see what kind of reflections I would get on the the black glossy surfaces, using a ring flash on the camera lens.
Have to say it worked a lot better than I was expecting, the curvature on the mug in particular, elongating the circular higlight into a very narrow oval and it did a great job of illuminating the labels.
Not to everybodies tastes I'm sure, but I quite like it :)
The result can be seen below.
