A cloudy, grey day at the cottage. The temperature will go to -9C, tonight. The forecast is for even colder. Spring has not yet arrived in Manitoba!
So, what to do? I've collected a bunch of cheap radio triggers for some 35 year old flash units. I may as well start up that learning curve and pretend that I control the sun.
This shot, and the previous two, are a taste of what I achieved on my first foray into lighting the critters. Rojo seemed quite impressed!

Wreck This Journal: Add your own page numbers. Numbering took forever! And I forgot to do my original thought which was to use a variety of languages and Roman Numerals. Instead I was boring and just straight numbered it. =( However it's come in handy for finding certain pages!
'Maudie', the 2016 film starring Sally Hawkins and Ethan Hawke, helped reignite interest in Maud's work. I used to watch and enjoy this movie, but Shaw Cable has changed the channel that it used to play on, and I need to get round to subscribing to the new channel which you now have to pay for. Maud had a real personality, with great determination and survival skills, living, in Nova Scotia, with a husband who was definitely not easy to live with, in poverty and with severe arthritis. No running water and no heat, for one thing.

No edited 'real' photos ready to upload today, so I'm posting a few bright and cheery online jigsaw puzzles, so that I can add them to my album. I know I should be going through my old archive photos and choosing a few before deleting them from my computer as I am just about out of space, but these puzzles are so addictive. Help, lol!

Another photo added to "the best" set. I see a big mistake in it, as the lamp is badly cut, it would be better shot if the light bulb could be seen, but still, birdie looks great (I still forget to check, what kind of bird is this, in tags it says pigeon, but i was informed via PM, that this definetly isn't one...). I must say, this is one of hm, about a hundred photos made there by me and one of the few good enough to be on my stream. Need more practice, need more shoots...
