Barcelona's "Magic Fountain of Montjuic" is a breathtaking display of dancing water and coloured light.

The only other time I'd visited this waterfall, water was barreling over. There was no way I could even attempt to get to this spot. This time, however, it was a little bit too dry. This waterfall looked like Princess Falls on steroids. It is actually about 30-35 feet high. Hopefully, the third time will be a charm when/if I visit.

Wellll, it's been quite a long time since I've added any new work to my stream here. I kind of got away from Flickr for a while but I've decided to come back and am starting with a series on the singular Sydney Opera House.
I was fortunate enough to be able to spend 6 weeks in Sydney this past summer visiting a dear friend. Sydney is one of my favorite cities in the world and vies for the most beautiful as well. One of it's best features is its incomparable harbor. The Opera House was built in the 1960's and celebrates that harbor and invokes it in its architecture. The building is built out into the harbor and is nearly surrounded by it. It is situated adjacent to the ferry terminal (Circular Quay) so every ferry that crosses the harbor (with many thousands of passengers daily) gets a front row seat coming and going. I took four different excursions by ferry so quite of few of these shots are from a moving boat (no sense using a tripod when your platform is rocking).
This series includes a great many abstractions of the endless shapes that are created when the sail-like tiled roof's lines are viewed from different angles. Those of you who have followed my work through the years are aware of my attraction to architectural abstractions and this building fascinated me.
This first shot is made from the Royal Botanic Garden shore walk on a humid evening right before sunset.
I am grinding some black pepper for my mixed green salad. The salad has spinach, tomatoes, cucumber, cremini mushrooms, broccoli, and olives. On the tray are three pices of Ciabatta bread with butter, garlic power, Italian seasoning, and grated Parmesan cheese that is about to get toasted in the little toaster oven.
