This Copernicus Sentinel-2 image shows Adam’s Bridge, a chain of shoals linking India and Sri Lanka.
Adam’s Bridge stretches 48 km between Rameswaram Island, off the southeast coast of India, and Mannar Island, off the northwest coast of Sri Lanka. The bridge separates the Gulf of Mannar (south), an inlet of the Indian Ocean, from the Palk Strait (north), an inlet of the Bay of Bengal.
There are numerous theories about how the bridge was formed. However, geologic evidence suggests that these limestone shoals are the remnants of land that once connected India and Sri Lanka. According to records, this natural bridge was traversable until the15th century, after which it was gradually eroded by storms over the years.
Some of the sandbanks are dry and, as the light colour of the water indicates, the sea here is very shallow, only 1–10 m deep.
Mannar Island covers about 130 sq km and is connected to mainland Sri Lanka by a road bridge and a railway bridge, both visible at the southern end of the island.
On the opposite side of Adam’s bridge, Rameswaram Island, also known as Pamban Island, can be accessed from the Indian mainland by the 2-km-long Pamban Bridge. The two main towns on the island are Pamban, on the western edge, and Rameswaram, around 10 km east of Pamban.
Both sections of Adam’s Bridge are part of protected national parks in their respective countries. The sand dunes serve as breeding grounds for birds such as the brown noddy, while numerous species of fish and sea grasses thrive in the shallow waters. Sea life around Adam's Bridge include dolphins, dugongs and turtles.

Adam House is a Category B listed building in Edinburgh, Scotland. It is owned by the University of Edinburgh, and used as studio spaces for the architecture school. It consists of 4 studio spaces and a lecture theatre.
The four storey building with basement, at 5 and 6 Chambers Street, was built in a modern neo-classical style by William H Kininmonth, a leading Scottish exponent of Modernism, and dates to 1954. It includes a 164-seat basement theatre space, as well as the architecture studios. These were built to the rear of the building to limit traffic and other noise pollution.
The building's name commemorates Adam Square, one of the three 18th century residential squares built to make way for Chambers Street as part of the 1867 City Improvement Act.
As well as its use as an examination hall, it is also used as a venue for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the world's largest arts festival, where it is operated by the company C venues.
A check on my files reveals it's 10 years since I did a shot like this with my swimmer, who for this shot will be called Adam. My challenge to myself was to get him half in/half out of the water, his face showing clearly, and a good splash.

Adam and Eve Mews - The Mews of London Town
Hidden in alleys and culs-de-sac, the former stables of London now house trendy homes, pubs, and restaurants and preserve some of the city's last vestiges of community spirit.
Kensington: Adam and Eve Mews, W8 Adam and Eve Mews is named after The Adam and Eve, an ancient inn which used to stand on the site.
It had two acres of gardens in a long and narrow shape and because it was therefore unsuitable for building typical large London Victorian houses, mews stables were built in the 1880s.
George Michael rented a flat in the modern end of the street during his days performing as one half of the 1980s pop group Wham!
The English 1970s rock band Deep Purple had a recording, studio in the tiny cobbled street along with rock legends Dire Straits.
And even the Aussie crooner Jason Donovan once resided in the mews.

The Adam Shop seems to be a bit further back in the store here than it was in the old Corinth location, but in the same general area on the right side of the store nonetheless.
