Ada Bridge about 6 months before its opening. Connecting old and new Belgrade, this cable bridge is the largest in the world suspended by just one pylon and is one of the main construction projects ever undertaken in Serbia.

Address: 86 Major Mackenzie Drive West, Highland Cottage
86 Major Mackenzie Drive West is known both as the Ada Mackenzie House and Highland Cottage. Constructed between 1850 and 1855, this cottage has strong historical value in its direct association with Ada Mackenzie. Mackenzie was Canada's famous female golfer from the 1920s to 1940s and founded the Ladies Golf Club of Toronto. The land on which the cottage was built was purchased by J.R. Arnold in 1840 and remained in the Arnold family for 100 years. The Arnolds were early farming settlers of the community. The original main structure is a one-and-a-half storey building of saltbox form, facing south onto Major Mackenzie Drive. The house was renovated leaving the original footprint and structure intact, and the building was stripped to its frame and redesigned including new flooring, an added bay window, rebuilt sidewing, dormer windows and a separate garage. This property also has historical value because of its association with David Boyle Sr., who was involved with the creation of Pioneer Park in Richmond Hill and his son David Boyle Jr., was Canadas leading archaeologist of the time. The Ada Mackenzie House became a designated heritage property in 2008.
