Finally acknowledging that I can grow roses - it has taken decades! These flowers are 5" in diameter.
This image was taken in February of this year right after the Swallow-tailed Kites returned from their wintering grounds in South America! It is hard to believe that most have finished nesting and are now teaching the young Kites how to hunt as they begin preparations for the return trip to South American in another month!! They are one of my favorite birds!! Hope you like the image! Thank you as always for all of the favorites and comments!!

There are always some you know in your neighborhood and others you don't know but wonder about...maybe you look for them and hope their day is going ok. Maybe you know when they like to acknowledge the outside world and make a point to sync your own timeline with their. Well, I do this with cats. In the short time that I spent in Furrydelphia, I looked for this furrball every day and he was always looking for the sun around mid day. I have a ton of photos like this where the reflections created a nuisance but I hope my fondness for this magnificent beast comes through here, and I hope this cat is still doing well!

Terrace Falls are located near Lawson and Hazelbrook, small towns approximately 90 kilometers (1.5 hour drive) from Sydney.
Falls are accessible by the short 800 meter walk from the bottom of Terrace Falls Road, or from the other side, Valley Road Hazelbrook. There are now gates on both sides to
stop the dickheads that either dump cars or rip up the unsealed fire trail
The walking track starts approximately half way between these two gated. There are two entry points along the track and it just depends from which Road you access it from.
The track itself is a beautiful example of temperate rainforest with many flowering native mountain plants, fungi, birds and sunning reptiles. Don't forget to look out for the colourful freshwater crustacean, locally known as the yabbie!!!
This walk has come rather rich and lush moss and lichens, not to mention the wonderful tree ferns!
Take your time and scamper up and down rocks, stop, listen and just chill to experience a true Blue Mountains experience!!! You might even get lucky as I did and witness the majestic Lyrebird.

False Creek is a short inlet in the heart of Vancouver. It separates downtown from the rest of the city. It was named by George Henry Richards during his Hydrographic survey of 1856-63. George Richards named False Creek during his survey of the coast in the mid-19th century. While traveling along the south side of the Burrard Inlet, he thought he was traversing a creek; upon discovering his error, he gave the waterway its modern name. Wikipedia

The intelligence of Crows is well-acknowledged. I have often observed a "murder" of crows seemingly working cooperatively. It often seems that one or more of them acts as a sentinel, loudly proclaiming when a potential danger is near (like mistakenly taking me as danger when I raise my camera). As the crow "caws" loudly, other crows nearby in the trees respond. Those on the ground feeding then take flight. Maybe I am reading too much into this observation, but it has happened often.
Wisteria in full bloom ( my garden )
A climbing vine in the pea family, with delicate hanging clusters of beautiful, pale bluish-lilac flowers that emit a heavenly scent. Native to North America and eastern Asia, ornamental varieties are widely grown on walls and pergolas.
Flora records indicate wisteria has been known to live up to 100 years and even older (there is a 1200 year old wisteria tree in Japan). It's long-life bestows the symbolic meaning of immortality and longevity to the wisteria.

Your name that was once painful
Doesn't make me regretful anymore
I live as if I have forgotten
You're a coincidence that I want to face again
A low wind blows
In this faint hint of a season
It's not unfamiliar to me at all
My heart reaches out just in case
Spring, you must have been spring to me
Like the voice that used to call my name warmly
Maybe you're doing well
I guess this is a friendly regard
You're still pretty
Hi, hi
On the street we used to walk side by side
There is a flower that blooms out of nowhere
I was in a hurry, pretending not to notice it
But I'm suddenly thinking of it
Spring, you must have been spring to me
Like a comfortable smile shining with full cheeks glistening
Maybe you're doing well
I guess this is a friendly regard
You're still pretty
Hi, hi
So that we can meet on a different road everyday
I walk diligently
I'll be waiting like this
It feels like you're hugging me again
It's what you used to do in the past, without saying a word
In order to get along better
I guess this is a friendly goodbye
I won't not know you
I'll acknowledge you first, like this
Bye

Kevan is working today so I get to pick today’s image. He took this photo on one of his adventures to the West Coast of Florida. He wanted to call this one “Reddish Egret having a blond moment”. But I told him that was not politicially correct – so you’ll have to title this one!
It always amazes us watching a Reddish Egret run across the flat, catch a fish, all of a sudden stop and look like it has no idea where it is, what it was doing or why!
Hope you all enjoy this one – they always make me smile.

Although I have not yet visited Ukraine and therefore have no photos of this beautiful independent country, I want to acknowledge the tragic situation unfolding there before our horrified, distressed eyes and grieving hearts. Wishing this brave people so very much love and strength to endure and protect their country and their freedom! Celebrating the gold and blue colors of Ukraine with this photo. The gold of their wheat fields and the blue of their sky. Courage and peace to Ukraine!
And of course, I shall always celebrate the Florence I love so much, the birthplace of the Renaissance. It is a special cultural heart of Western Civilization - a civilization where respect for the freedom of the human spirit and the civil rights that protect this freedom are honored. Ukraine is fighting for the dignity and values of Western Civilization, for all of us!
This image serves as a call to action, urging us to acknowledge the existence of marginalized communities and their struggle for basic necessities. It prompts reflection on the systemic issues that perpetuate poverty and the need for collective efforts to create a more equitable world. While the girl's identity remains anonymous, her indomitable spirit shines through, leaving a lasting impact on those who encounter her gaze.

As I sat and pondered my life one day, waves of sorrow and joy came my way.
Acknowledging each one that passed by, they would make me laugh, sing, or cry.
My life is very colorful, genuine, and true. My life is fulling in some ways; both old and new.
Each day is a gift on these waves. Each day I pursue what I crave.
May you all use this time given to reflect, grow, and invite beauty into your soul.
I hope you are all well and safe on these ever moving waters of life. I look forward to visiting your part of the pond.
Thank you for your support, favs and kind comments. They and you are appreciated.

"Solidão is a Portuguese term meaning loneliness or abandonment. It is an emotion experienced by many people and can take various forms, such as emotional distance, lack of social connections, and feelings of isolation. It is important to acknowledge that solitude is a human experience and that support and help is available for those who are dealing with it. It is also important to seek connection and community with others, which can alleviate the effects of solitude."

Understanding and acknowledging its existence is the pathway to Light
Remaining in Ignorance enables it
It is dark, it is ugly – it is vile
It is the devil’s playground
It is seductive
Only through shining a light on its existence . . .
Can humanity and our earth heal
Humanity is on the precipice
Let’s pray - Amen

A PRAYER TO DEFEAT THE WORK OF SATAN
O Divine Eternal Father, in union with your Divine Son and the Holy Spirit, and through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg You to destroy the Power of your greatest enemy – the evil spirits. Cast them into the deepest recesses of hell and chain them there forever!
Take possession of your Kingdom which You have created and which is rightfully yours. Heavenly Father, give us the reign of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. I repeat this prayer out of pure love for You with every beat of my heart and with every breath I take.
Amen.

Lavenham in Suffolk is widely acknowledged as the best example of a medieval wool town in England.
In Tudor times, Lavenham was said to be the fourteenth wealthiest town in England, despite its small size. Its fine timber-framed buildings and beautiful church, built on the success of the wool trade, make it a fascinating place to explore today.
Although Lavenham goes back to Saxon times, it is best known as a medieval wool town. It was granted its market charter in 1257 and started exporting its famous blue broadcloth as far afield as Russia.
In the 14th century Edward III encouraged the English weaving industry and Lavenham began to prosper. However in the late 16th century Dutch refugees in Colchester began weaving a lighter, cheaper and more fashionable cloth and the woollen trade in Lavenham began to fail.
Most of the buildings in Lavenham today date from the 15th century, many of these were never altered due to the fall of the weaving industry. Consequently the town is still very much on the same scale as it must have been in the 15th century.
