Dorothy’s Mystifying Oracle accurately predicts Ghost Fashions of course!!! 👻👀🔮

Now that this useful information has been foreseen, OOk is so excited to fulfill his dream of creating ghostly fashions!!

Dorothy helps scream (screen) the models for the upcoming fashion show 👀👻

Or to be more accurate, Siaba Kecil, in the Komodo national park. A better standard of over/under shot after taking it a bit more seriously. The current behind me was extremely powerful (and fun). At one point I saw a group of divers literally roll past in the deep channel.

The Sanford Building in Amsterdam, N.Y., was built in 1922 as the headquarters for one of the carpet companies that were the heart of the city’s economy until they weren’t.

The landmark clock tower appears to have not undergone any restoration since I shot some images there a decade earlier.

I like an accurate watch – this sensor will help our atomic clock be accurate to 1s in 300 million years…now that’s precise.

"Tribeca (/traɪˈbɛkə/), originally written as TriBeCa, is a neighborhood in Lower Manhattan in New York City. Its name is a syllabic abbreviation of "Triangle Below Canal Street". The "triangle" (more accurately a quadrilateral) is bounded by Canal Street, West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. By the 2010s, a common marketing tactic was to extend Tribeca's southern boundary to either Vesey or Murray streets to increase the appeal of property listings.

The neighborhood began as farmland, then was a residential neighborhood in the early 19th century, before becoming a mercantile area centered on produce, dry goods, and textiles, and then transitioning to artists and then actors, models, entrepreneurs and other celebrities. The neighborhood is home to the Tribeca Festival, which was created in response to the September 11 attacks, to reinvigorate the neighborhood and downtown after the destruction caused by the terrorist attacks.

New York, often called New York City or NYC, is the most populous city in the United States. With a 2020 population of 8,804,190 distributed over 300.46 square miles (778.2 km2), New York City is also the most densely populated major city in the United States. The city is within the southern tip of New York State, and constitutes the geographical and demographic center of both the Northeast megalopolis and the New York metropolitan area – the largest metropolitan area in the world by urban landmass. With over 20.1 million people in its metropolitan statistical area and 23.5 million in its combined statistical area as of 2020, New York is one of the world's most populous megacities, and over 58 million people live within 250 mi (400 km) of the city. New York City is a global cultural, financial, and media center with a significant influence on commerce, health care and life sciences, entertainment, research, technology, education, politics, tourism, dining, art, fashion, and sports. New York is the most photographed city in the world. Home to the headquarters of the United Nations, New York is an important center for international diplomacy, an established safe haven for global investors, and is sometimes described as the capital of the world." - info from Wikipedia.

The fall of 2022 I did my 3rd major cycling tour. I began my adventure in Montreal, Canada and finished in Savannah, GA. This tour took me through the oldest parts of Quebec and the 13 original US states. During this adventure I cycled 7,126 km over the course of 2.5 months and took more than 68,000 photos. As with my previous tours, a major focus was to photograph historic architecture.

This is Mr. Ibrahim Didi, my grandfather from my mister side. He was one of the teachers in Malé Atholhu Madarusaa (School) – was a teaching English medium and later became a member of the people’s parliament in Maldives. He has been a well known person in Maldivian History.

Managed to do some renders of Daleks too. Pretty happy with them, think this is the most accurate I can make them. Not ashamed to say I nicked the microphone balls idea off PineConeEagleMan, who suggested it for Gunnbuildings Daleks. Still, I am capable of original thought. I see your Microphone balls, and raise you... Wand ears! Naming really isn't my specialty, huh. Started by using upside down microphones, then added the wands later, just to make it a bit rounder. I should also note I've changed the eye design since I rendered this image, but I won't spoil the surprise, so I'll say no more about it. So, without further ado, on to the Daleks (L to R):

Dalek Time Controller - Always wanted to make the TC, but he's kinda sorta impossible to do in real life, cos of the rings. Digital however is a different story. only think I may need to toy with is the grills. There's supposed to be a trans purple ball in there, but you can't really see it. Maybe full transparent would work better than trans-brown...

Dalek drone - Or just 'Dalek'. This is the base design for all the others. Fairly simple, used a couple of hammers to fill in the sides and make them a bit more interesting. Also fund a really good eye piece. No idea where it's from, but it looks great.

Davros - What Dalek lineup would be complete without the creator himself. Mecabricks made him a lot easier to build, easier to make shorter too, as real versions are often way too tall, and don't get to keep the Dalek base. A weequay head works surprisingly well too, which I'm quite proud of. Naturally, I had to work a microphone into his head for the eye.

Dalek Supreme - Literally the same design as the drone, just with axes around the grill to make him standout.

Heavy weapons Dalek - Went a bit mad on this one, but Imma have to refine it a bit. No eyestalk, just an eye scanner type thing, which hasn't come out all too well. He also has a more bulked up mid section, as well as an antenna on his dome. He also has an ever so slightly wider base, though that can't really be seen. It's a bout a half stud wider, if that. Quite happy with the cannon, but that'll need some refining too.

So, those are the Daleks I've always wanted to make. I've got quite a few renders now, got a bit addicted to digital building, so Imma probably be uploading quite a bit more than I was, so look forward to that. So, as always, please lemme know what you think, and if there're any more Doctor who villains you'd like to see me try my hand at :D

Peter's_Toys totally gave me the idea to give my new "Singing Tiana" doll a more accurate look by adding her earrings (originally belonged to a Hasbro "Quest for Camelot" Kayley doll), her bracelet (belongs to barbie) and her stole(also belongs to Barbie/unfortunately the fur side wasn\'t white so I had to flip it over)

Fez

Fez or Fes (Arabic: فاس, romanized: fās, Berber languages: ⴼⴰⵙ, romanized: fas, French: Fès) is a city in northern inland Morocco and the capital of the Fès-Meknès administrative region. It is the second largest city in Morocco, with a population of 1.11 million according to the 2014 census.

Fez was founded under Idrisid rule during the 8th-9th centuries CE. It initially consisted of two autonomous and competing settlements. Successive waves of mainly Arab immigrants from Ifriqiya (Tunisia) and al-Andalus (Spain/Portugal) in the early 9th century gave the nascent city its Arab character. After the downfall of the Idrisid dynasty, other empires came and went until the 11th century when the Almoravid Sultan Yusuf ibn Tashfin united the two settlements into what is today's Fes el-Bali quarter. Under Almoravid rule, the city gained a reputation for religious scholarship and mercantile activity.

Today, the city consists of two old medina quarters, Fes el-Bali and Fes Jdid, and the much larger modern urban Ville Nouvelle area founded during the French colonial era. The medina of Fez is listed as a World Heritage Site and is believed to be one of the world's largest urban pedestrian zones (car-free areas). It has the University of Al-Qarawiyyin which was founded in 857 and is considered by some to be the oldest continuously functioning institute of higher education in the world. It also has Chouara Tannery from the 11th century, one of the oldest tanneries in the world. The city has been called the "Mecca of the West" and the "Athens of Africa." It is also considered the spiritual and cultural capital of Morocco.

Admittedly the colours here do not accurately represent reality, but I had expected far more vivid violet/blue tones and so this is what you see. Oh yes, I didn't really like the bald blue sky the day of the shoot and so an "embellishment" was ordered. Enjoy!

Probably the neatest stabilimentum I've come across. It looks like leg extensions.

Marrakech is manic, maddening, and magical ✨

I think CSNY captured the city quite accurately, and not much appears to have changed!

The souks (shops) are bursting with wares of anything you can imagine, and the market square is an assault on the senses with intoxicating smells of grilling meats, blended fruits, olive oils, a cacophony of sounds from scooters, donkey hooves clip-clopping on the hard stones, shoppers bargaining deals, and snake charmers on their flutes.

Marrakech Express—CSNY

Looking at the world through the sunset in your eyes

Travelling the train through clear Moroccan skies

Ducks, and pigs, and chickens call

Animal carpet wall-to-wall

American ladies five-foot tall in blue

Sweeping cobwebs from the edges of my mind

Had to get away to see what we could find

Hope the days that lie ahead

Bring us back to where they've led

Listen not to what's been said to you

Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express

Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express

They're taking me to Marrakesh

All aboard the train, all aboard the train

I've been saving all my money just to take you there

I smell the garden in your hair

Take the train from Casablanca going south

Blowing smoke rings from the corners of my mouth, my mouth

Colored cottons hang in the air

Charming cobras in the square

Striped djellebas we can wear at home

Well, let me hear ya now

Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express

Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express

They're taking me to Marrakesh

Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express

Wouldn't you know we're riding on the Marrakesh Express

They're taking me to Marrakesh

All on board the train, all on board the train

All on board

This is a revamp of my previous "Modernized Takanuva" MOC. Compared to the last version I made, this one is sturdier and more filled out design-wise, and has more accurate colors/better proportions. The hand design may or may not be new, but it's new to me.

This is a view looking west at the aptly named Depot St in Lawler, IA. The only time I have, and most likely ever will click my shutter here.

Harsh light doesn't make the image flattering; but a dirty quartet, a dusty early spring street, and a lack of any foot traffic make this picture a TRUE look back. Ho hum.

Streltsy made up the bulk of the Russian army from 15th to the first half of 18th century. These fearsome warriors ripped apart the enemy infantry with accurate pischal (musket) fire and intimidated and sliced the survivors with terrible bardiche axes on which they also rested their guns while shooting.

Built as a T-6J by Canadian Car & Foundary in 1952, with the US military serial 51-17110.

Served with the Italian Air Force as ‘MM53795’ but was stored by 1975. Sold off in 1981 and one of four shipped to the UK by Robs Lamplough.

It was registered as G-BJST later in 1981 but was instead rebuilt to statically represent a Mitsubishi Zero for the 1987 movie “Empire of the Sun”. After years in storage, a further restoration later took place at Thruxton where she was rebuilt to stock condition and flew again in false RAF markings with the serial KF729. She has now been repainted to accurately represent Harvard ‘AJ841’ of No.154 squadron, Royal Air Force, based in the Middle East during WW2.

She is seen departing after giving pleasure flights at the Shuttleworth Collection’s 2023 Season Premiere Air Show.

As simple as that... In a very ACCURATE moment.

Remembering the best in every time of life. Inspiring in thought of more then moments in the late 80's... that by looking back, can be seen as a moment for me. Time of my life, perhaps " A MOMENT"... just before I started to use really the computer for design.. and working with different paints.

After several days of anticipation, Toronto received the winter storm that has hit large portions of North America.

This lonely pedestrian has opted to walk in the street to avoid slippery sidewalks. The scarcity of car traffic this morning makes walking in the street an option.

Some say that Ben Franklin wanted the Turkey to be the national bird instead of the Bald Eagle. More accurately Mr. Franklin was displeased with the choice of the Bald Eagle and in a letter to his daughter made commentary that the design of the national emblem looked more like a turkey which in his opinion was a more respectable bird.

Archer Towers are extremely versatile structures. They are able to target both Ground and Air Units, and they have excellent range. This versatility means that they should form the cornerstone of every player's defense.

I just edited a little picture of the actual archer tower in the low left corner, so you can see how accurate the build is in comparision to the original.

Pentacon Six TL

CZJ Sonnar 180mm f2.8

Fuji Pro400H

Rollei Digibase C41

Epson V600 + Betterscanning MF Holder

First roll with my newly acquired Sonnar plus a second P6 body, and also first time shooting Fuji Pro400H.

My measurements indicated that the fastest shutter speeds might be slow on this body, but I shot tests shots on a gray card and it looks like it's pretty accurate even on 1/1000. Nice!

Got *tons* of frame overlap on this roll though. Might have messed up when loading the film, so the jury is still out, but not very promising.

Normally I always try new films at box speed first, but lighting and focal length required pushing to 1600, which the 400H handled really well!

This is a very reliable and accurate assault rifle, combining elements of western and eastern rifles, this weapon system is designed for rough climates; whether it be the tundra and permafrost of russia, or the rainy and muddy forests of Chile, or the hot and shifting sands in the cities of egypt. This rifle will work for you. This rifle can be chambered in either 5.56 or 7.62 by swapping the lower plastic frame, the bolt, and barrel. this rifle can also use AR15 style magazines, Mini-14 magazines, or AK type magazines.

Cost:1350$ USD.

Here we have some great, game accurate custom minifigures by a new customiser, MH80.

As soon as i saw them i had to have them as there are a few characters here that i never thought i'd get to see made into physical form.

L-R. The Human Torch (Flame on), The Winter Soldier, Archangel, Iron Man MK 1 and Iceman.

The figures are pad printed and the quality on the printing and design is excellent. Some have been completely custom made with moulded parts as Lego does not produce them in the colours needed (Human Torch, Iron Man and Iceman) and Iron Man even has a custom made helmet. The customiser told me that he does print on Lego where possible also :).

The quality on the moulded parts is superb and i'm really happy with them as the price is very reasonable per figure for the level of detail and quality in the printing. I'd definitely recommend these to anyone who wants some more game accurate customs that no one else has done yet.

I'll be posting detailed pics of each fig in my stream over the next few days :).

An alternative, and probably more accurate, title for this could be "How to make a total mess of your bathroom in one easy lesson". Still was a great deal of fun to shoot, just have to tidy the place up now!
