The Government of Rwanda through the Ministry of Environment and represented by Minister Vincent Biruta, the University of Rwanda, represented by Prof. Beth Kaplin, the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute and the Carbon Institute, represented by John O. Niles, Director at the Carbon Institute, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop a joint collaboration to launch an international partnership for carbon accounting in Rwanda and in neighboring countries.
As part of the new international partnership, the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute and the Carbon Institute, in collaboration with the University of Rwanda, will support Rwanda’s green growth agenda through greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting programmes that develop an evidence base for informed climate action.
The seven year partnership will provide the opportunity for Rwanda to become a regional training center for carbon accounting in the Central African Forest Commission (COMIFAC) and Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) regions.

Life changes gears today; school started.
Last night I acquired two cool new software items:
Google Mail - with 1Gb storage!
Picasa - a free photo manager, also from Google.
While you can't get yourself a Google email account yet, on my first
Google email - from Google - I clicked an ad to www.Walla.com where I
discovered you can also get a free email account, complete with virus
scanning and spam filter, with 1Gb of storage. So my 100Kb Hotmail
account that recently increased to 2Mb storage looks pretty lame right
now.

The job fair was co-hosted by UCR School of Business and the UCR Career Center (event sponsor).
Well, I made a Flickr account, and I figured I'd start things off with a bang. Sparking the interest of multiple railfans of the CP Galt subdivision, CP CWR-27 highballs eastbound through Galt station in Galt ON with CP SD40-2 6043 taking charge, en route to Montreal. This train would meet H72 working the yard on the other side of the overpass I was standing on then eventually holding for 7057 East after CWR-27. I am happy to make this shot as I was pretty indecisive on where to shoot it but settled on Dundas St last minute.

I think that AI image generation is similar in many ways to photography. The camera itself handles all the fine details, but the photographer is in charge of curating the types of images that will be created.
Ultimately, it is all about maximizing the probability that something good will be created.
This is very similar to AI image generation, in terms of the skills involved and what the human does vs. what the machine does.
You can't compare AI image generation to the process of actually making these images from scratch with 3D software or paint/pencils, where the human controls every detail.
However, I think the process really is very similar to that of photography, as I made the case for above.
