When you register to vote on election day in Wisconsin, the Government Accountability Board mails you a postcard to confirm your registration is valid.

Undeliverable postcards are returned to the municipal clerks so that they can clean up their poll lists.

Returned cards do not mean these are fraudulent registrations. Some of these were returned because of errors in data entry or because of the fact apartment numbers were not included in the registration.

However, many of these postcards were returned as undeliverable, no such address, temporarily away or the resident moved and the forwarding time has expired.

As of July 25, 180 cards have been returned to the City of Racine clerk's office. There are more than 180 pictures in this set of photos, however, because where the postal label had covered the original address, we captured both the card as it was delivered to the clerk, and took another photo to show the original address.

Where Does the Accountability of Parliamentary Left Lies? .

CPI & its Student Wing AISF: AISF, which until last elections has been fighting elections in alliance .

with SF!. In last two elections that were held under Lyngdoh, it allied with DSF. In the current elections now they are just doing a mockery of being separate from SFI/DSF. Its parental party, the Communist Party of India (CPI) has long ago compromised with the cause of revolution and adopted the line of revisionism. Its class base is the land-owning section and the petty bourgeoisie, though it claims to have dalits and adivasis as their social base. It is nothing but a tail of Congress which has a long history of serving the British Colonialism and now American Imperialism. Whenever there emerged a people's struggle against feudalism, casteism and colonialism, the CPI actually, like .

Gandhi, served the colonial rulers by diverting towards reformism. They are the one who are supporting AFSPA in North-East. In the words of CPI Manipur State Committee General Secretary L Jotinkumar, jCPI never demanded repeal of AFSPA'. In fact CPI's party programme do not even utter a single word on the .

Nationality Struggles. Recently in the anti-POSCO struggle in Orissa the nexus between CPI and BJD got exposed. In fact some JNU students who visited Gobindpur (Orissa) are witness to the deal between CPI and BJP for a few assembly seats! In JNU, following its masters, AI SF has been indulged in the anti-student activities. Recently, when there was an indefinite hunger strike on the issue of gender discriminatory practices in hostel fines and the culture of arbitrary fines, the AI SF actually collaborated with the Administration and shamelessly publicized that the Adminsitration has accepted all our demands. Whereas in reality the Adminsitratior again cheated the student community by lying that the matter will be discussed in the IHA meeting. The Concerned Students brought out its public position on the failure of the hunger strike. In fact when the IHA meeting was finally held on 30/8/2013 it is not shocking that the matter of arbitrary fines in Sutlaj and gender discrimination in fines was not at all discussed. There is an interesting character of AISF that must be brought before the students. AISF always take double positions in any matter. Informally it will say something and when it comes to take a position in any formal meeting, it takes a u-turn. For instance, when the .

Concerned Students decided to go into indefinite hunger strike against arbitrary fines and gender discriminatory practices in fines, the AI SF leadership met us personally and 'committed' to support our hunger stke. But on the same day when the All Organisation meeting was called, it, going by its history of betrayal, opposed our hunger strike. Finally when the Concerned Students amidst all 5/8/2013, the AISF Durgest Tripathi publically in the protest demonstration used the.

opposition sat on the hunger strike on brahamnical expression of supporting the hunger stike. He said, 'hamara ashiravaad aap sabke saath hai.' This again exposes their brahamanical nature. The tail of social fascist CPM, the CPI and its student wing AISF is an anti-people force and corrupted at its core. CPM & its Student Wing SFI: the list of anti-people policies of the social fascist CPM is endless. We all know what CPM did in Marichjhapi, Nandigram and Singur. It was the mother of all Nandigrams. If there was one Nandigram on March 14, 2007, then .

perhaps there were dozens of Nandigrams during the three-day cleanse-Marichjhapi operation in January 1979. It was one of the .

biggest massacre of Dalits in South Asia conducted by CPM. and now in our catnpus we see SFI/DSF vigorously shouting the slogans, baba tere sapnon ko manzil tak pahuchayenge. Marichjhapi is one glaring instance that exposes their hypocrisy. It is the clear symbol of decay and degeneration of the parliamentary CPM when people find the CPM leaders at various levels are directly .

brahamanism) with parliamentary Marxism. In its long history of rule in West Bengal it has never implemented the reservation. And in JNU, SFI shouts vociferously for reservation! But if we look into their arguments in support of reservation, their brahamanicallogic clearty comes out. When the students were fighting for the implementation of 27 percent osc· reservation, they stood for the 54 percent seat increase. Its an obvious move to appease their upper caste vote bank in which they are securing 27 percent seats for .

upper castes in the wake of 27 percent 'reduction' of seats for OBCs. What they are saying now is that the old admission policy of JNU was better than th~ current one. This sweeping statement again shows their vote bank calculations at the time of elections now. We all know that the old admission policy means a time when the OBC reservation was not implemented. So how come an admission policy which denies reservation be progressive than the current one? Not only this, they have not till date come out with their position on the caste discrimination in viva-voice. We ask them to clarify do they believe that viva-voice is one of the tools of caste discrimination or not? The revisionist CPM, which has turned into a ruling class party has surrendered to the World Bank, IMF and MNCs by inviting them to ~~develop" West Bengal under 'Left: Front rule. We all know that the people of Nandigram fought valiantly against the setting up of .

a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in their villages by the Salem group of industries of Indonesia in collaboration with the notorious 14 March.

Dow Chemicals of the U.S. Thousands of women were humiliated, harassed, molested and raped in the carnage on 2007. The SFI and its B Team DSF who are now becoming the champions of gender justice, are the one who supportd Brinda Kar.at's (the polit bureau member of CPM) statement that one should not get distressed as there were only four cases of rape in Nandigram. And here in the campus they are supposedly leading the flag against the 31st July incident. In 2008 when peasants o1 Singur protested against the land grab for Tata's car factory, the CPM resorted to violence on the struggle people which resulted in .

Another year to add to the appreciation we must show for your life’s work.

We are honored everyday by the actions of this man and his generation that were able to make a change within the U.S.A.. We thank you for the efforts, the patience, the fortitude, and the contempt you showed when the majority refused to listen and budge for the minority. May we all continue to lead by example and not hide behind excuses and other strong-willed individuals to take the brunt of the blows in our fight for equality. Let us make better and smarter decisions that are bigger than ourselves. Let us stand up for what is right. Stand up for what is true. And stand up for your rights to live free from tyranny, various forms of enslavement, fear mongering, psychological coersion, indifference and abuse.

Hate keeps us apart. We must all open up our hearts to accept the differences we all have in this world and respect one another. .

May we all atleast take the time out today to learn the idealism set in motion by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

No Accountability.

.

If there is a problem in water service to some place, today, DJB takes 24 hours to 3 days to redress it. According.

to the new contract, the MNC can take anything from 5 to 20 days to do the same. So, Delhi citizens may go for.

up to 20 days without water! Further, unlike an elected Govt., the companies are not accountable to the citizens -.

nor is there any mechanism for the Govt to monitor or control their functioning. So, if they fail to provide proper.

service, there is no platform for grievance redressal !.

.

Any Benefits? 24/7 Water - A Myth.

.

The promise is that Delhi homes will get 24-hour water availability. But read the fine print of the contract - and.

one finds out the truth..

.

· Each water company is to enter into a water supply agreement with DJB separately for each zone - and.

the company is supposed to provide 24/7 water only if DJB supplies a certain quantity of water at the input.

of each zone. If DJB fails to supply the required amounts of water, the MNC need not meet its promises,.

but still, the DJB will have to pay the MNC its fixed fees..

.

· Even if DJB supplies the requisite water, there is no guarantee that it will reach each consumer in Delhi..

Why? Because the contract allows the MNC to divert water from one area to another within the same.

District Metering Zone. So, the MNC may divert the water to 5-star hotels, amusement parks etc...rather.

than homes, since these would buy the water in bulk at higher revenues!.

.

Meet the MNC Water Giants - Who Will Soon Control Our Access to Water !.

.

Let's take at some of the cities and countries where water has been handed over to MNCs:.

.

Water Prices.

.

· In Puerto Rico, water MNC Vivendi had to quit due to the massive expenses claimed by it - it was replaced.

by French water giant Suez, which also demanded exorbitant expenses and was made to quit..

.

· In Bolivia, where Suez was awarded a contract in 1997, water prices went up by 200%. The cost of a new.

water and sewer connection rose to the same as two years of food expenses for the poorest in the cities. In.

January this year, massive protests erupted - and the Govt. was forced to try and end the contract, but the.

corporation has refused to go - and is threatening legal action! In Cochabamba, Bolivia, the MNC Bechtel.

hiked prices so much that riots broke out in which a boy was killed and hundreds injured..

.

· In Manila, water prices shot up by 700% within three years of privatization..

.

· In Nelspurit, South Africa, water rates nearly tripled..

.

The Fate of the Poor.

.

· In S Africa, ten million South Africans lost their water connections due to their inability to pay; two million.

were evicted from their homes for non-payment. Deprived of drinking water, the poor had to use polluted.

water - and died of cholera epidemics..

.

· In the urban shanty towns of Manila, thousands of poor families could not afford the water service - despite.

the water companies' promises of `100% coverage' - and those who were connected were prohibited from.

sharing or selling water to those who were unconnected! Manila too witnesses cholera outbreaks..

.

· In Indonesia, the water company PT Garuda Dipta Semesta (owned by French water giant Suez and the Salim.

Group) improved water services only for the rich - while the poor remained without piped water! A campaign.

against privatization is ongoing here..

.

· In Cochabamba, Bolivia, the high cost of water forces families to skip meals or stop sending kids to school.

in order to afford water!.

.

· The people of Cochabamba kicked Bechtel out of Bolivia; another company Veolia was similarly kicked.

out of Argentina and Puerto Rico. Struggles are ongoing to kick out many other MNC water companies from.

several other countries..

.

All over the world, the World Bank has twisted arms and coerced na-.

tions into privatising and commodifying water. In India, too our gov-.

ernments are obeying these dictates and doing their best to commodify.

and corporatise water.Towing the same diktats the Congress Govt. of.

Delhi is shamelessly inviting these companies - whose greed kills and.
