Colas Rail 56094 rounds the curve and accelerates towards Bursledon station with a nearly completely empty LWRT set in tow working the 6C01 STP 07:20 Ashford International to Eastleigh East Yard engineers train (via Tonbridge, Herne Hill, Clapham Junction, Mitcham Junction, Epsom, Effingham Junction, Guildford, the Portsmouth Direct Line, Fareham, Netley and with a run round in the Southampton Up Goods Loop before heading to Eastleigh) on the 12th January 2025.

This took a rather unusual route to Eastleigh due to the SWML being closed due to engineering work between Winchester and Woking with this also running via the Fareham to Southampton line due to the LWRT set needing to be turned.

Engineering trains are not often seen on the Fareham to Southampton line in general, especially in daylight with a Grid up front.

Nachdem der gute alte G5 in letzter Zeit bei der 12.000 Fotos umfassenden IPhoto-Library oder mehreren geöffneten Programmen immer lahmer wurde und ich öfter als mir lieb war diesen rotierenden SAT.1-Ball anschauen musste, wusste ich: es muss meht RAM her. Der Tipp kam vom Nasendackel via Twitter, 2 Tage nach Bestellung kamen 2 kostengünstige1024MB-Riegel per Post von dsp-memory aus Flensburg. Beim Speichertausch durfte ich nach knapp 4 Jahren auch mal wieder das Innenleben des Schätzchens bestaunen. Letztmals geschah das beim Einbauen der Airport Express-Karte. Mit neuer RAM-Power ist der Mac auf jeden Fall wieder merklich schneller unterwegs, das freut.
