Last one of these....but just had to throw up one other angle in the morning glint due to the utter absurdity of it all and the fact that this is sadly what passes for cool around where I work!
NS 7564 (GE ES40DC blt. Feb. 2006) is sitting on the 'Conrail westbound' track on top of a string of long term hold coaches outside the MBTA Commuter Rail Maintenance Facility better known as BET (Boston Engine Terminal). The big GE has been sitting around for three weeks after arriving on a rail train as seen in this photo: flic.kr/p/2mjgDqx
With the rail train finally empty the 5 AM work train crew is getting ready to take their pair of MBTA units and double to the 7564 and then go pick up the empty rail train. They will deliver all of this back to Pan Am in Lowell and leave the NS unit with it to hold the air and ultimately head back home finally after taking up space and doing nothing in Boston for weeks.

La soledad hace madurar lo original, lo audaz e inquietantemente bello, el poema. Pero también engendra lo erróneo, desproporcionado, absurdo e ilícito.
Cela fait trop longtemps que tu me dis que ça va péter, putain, où est ta liberté, ton égalité , ta connasse de fraternité. Regarde toi, tu as peur de ton ombre, tu rejettes ton frère tel un étron que l'on chasse du tapis d'accueil que l'on tend sur le seuil du taudis que l'on appelle maison. Ta pensée n'est plus qu'une ombre sale et sans honneur, odeur de pourriture parmi tant de faux semblant. Tu ne vis que pour une image que tu sais si imparfaite et que pour autant tu donnes à montrer pour ce que tu souhaiterais qu'elle soit....tu te mens, ta vie est petite, tu n'es rien. Meurt, seul, hypocrite, tes souvenirs sont factices, ta vie n'est que mensonges et illusions. CRÈVE !!

Voigtlander 35mm 1.2
A great photoshoot with Paul tonight. as we often say, sometimes things happen. sometimes nothing happens at all. tonight was a fun night. opportunities here and there.
It was the first time for me shooting with the 35mm 1.2 from Voigtlander on the m9. heavy, that's a sure fact, but such a "light eater" that you tend to forget about the weight.
For this specific shot, we organized our thoughts in an instant: i wanted to have a rotated shot. snapped a few. it was looking good but not awesome. but when Paul proposed to enter into the compo and look at the thing, that's when it got interesting.
i really wanted to emphasize the opposition between the two silhouettes. however the over exposure on the statue wasn't intentional.
Changing my dress code for this autumn.
In the shop they convinced me it was not only cool and hip, but that it even might improve my WiFi signal...
