To avoid confusion with some group invitations, all of my images are created from blank. Any image from a photo is clearly marked as such.
More architectural abstracts from a recent vacation to New Mexico. This is an office complex in Albuquerque. The sky is SO clear and blue out there, it makes these kinds of images exciting to take. And it is, in my opinion, just about the ONLY kind of image that looks best in the harsh midday sun with no clouds in the sky. This fresco is in the Monte Oliveto Maggiore Abbey (Abbazia di Monte Oliveto Maggiore), which is a stunning abbey perched on the top of a cliff in the Crete Senese area. The Abbey was built in the 15th century. The Great Cloister is decorated with a fresco cycle depicting the life of St Benedict by Luca Signorelli, who began work on its 36 large scenes in 1497. The cycle was finished in 1508 by Sodoma.
