An abstract obtained by taking macro shot of color papers .

.... another picture that I was captivated with when I saw it down the microscope. It's a squash of a minute sample of tissue from a fungus. I think this image shows a conidium, bearing conidiospores. (These are asexual structures present on some fungi.)

To avoid confusion with some group invitations, all of my images are created from blank. Any image from a photo is clearly marked as such.

Detail of abstract # 32 with modified colors

Topic: Find a grid pattern somewhere-maybe a brick sidewalk or ceiling tiles-and make a photo of an interesting slice of it.

Strobist info: one bare SB900 on the floor pointing at the subject top left. Manual power 1/128. Triggered by built-in controller. No setup shot available (sorry!)

BHL On Black

I really liked the underexposed backlit effect here. Makes it seem a little abstract.

Are you interested in photographing Mt Robson? If so, you're in luck. I have a few more spots open for my fall 2014 photo trip. This is the perfect trip for the active photographer since we'll be taking the helicopter to Robson Pass and then backpacking along the Berg Lake trail. Visit www.ActionPhotoTours.com for more info.

Pentacon auto 1.8/50

This is a actual, original Ferrari F40 from the private collection of museum founder Reinhard Ernst. The car is placed on a plate of acrylic which is imprinted with flower motifs.

I'm sure that's very profound and meaningful. I am not going down the rabbot hole of questioning why this is art, but I must say I don't see why it is abstract art. Because astract art is to what this museum claims to be dedicated.

You're not supposed to view it like this, looking down. If you look straight ahead you see a mirror pf corrugated aluminium in which the car is reflected like an indistinct red blob. I am sure I spoilt the effect by bypassing the mirror.
