Abstract

The Anzeiger Hochhaus and the heating power station Hannover Linden united. Multiple exposure (average amount) of three frames with different focal lengths.

It was built for the publishing house Hannoverscher Anzeiger A. Madsack & Co. , which today publishes the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung (HAZ) and the Neue Presse (NP) as Verlagsgesellschaft Madsack. After the Second World War, the magazine Der Spiegel, edited by Rudolf Augstein, was founded in the building used as a press house. The first edition appeared in Hanover on January 4, 1947, a Saturday. Until its move to Hamburg in 1952, the Spiegel editorial office was based in Hanover. The first issue of Henri Nannen's magazine Stern also appeared in the Anzeiger high-rise on August 1, 1948.

Art created from my photos | Washington, D.C. | Rainbow #abstract

from the times when I wasn't dead yet

abstract inspired by the work of Kurt Schwitters

originally set out with paper shapes from magazine pages, but to make it my own, I painted and cut out canvas which were then glued to mixed media paper.

I was inspired by some underwater shots I'd seen, of leaves floating in a river, but I don't have a waterproof housing for my DSLR, so this is my studio version!

Uploaded to my photostream on October 7th and then added to Macro Mondays group October 24th for "Macro Mondays: backlit" as I have been very busy this week and had no opportunity to take another shot!

HMM everyone! Thank you very much for all the kind comments :-)

Fifth Third Bank Building, Toledo, Ohio, USA, the tallest building between Chicago and Cleveland.

This is my concession to Autumn. Brisbane doesn't really have a lot of trees that are deciduous in winter, so I have created this contribution inspired by a hanging street sculpture and Autumn itself of course.

Thanks for stopping by. Appreciate your comments. :)
