Abstract scrapbooking background. Created using photoshop and various filters from a plain green and yellow banded background.
I fell into designing these abstract backgrounds completely by accident and it was suggested I continue doing these as there is a now a demand from scrapbooking hobbyists, and cardmakers whether they be amateur, semi-professional or full blown business. This is TOTALLY photo art. My definition of photo art is to take a photo and so completely change it, that it is entirely, totally different from what it started out to be. That's the case here as this was originally an out-of-focus photo of the Burnham & Flower Insurance Agency Building (formerly the Standard Federal Bank Building when it was built in the 1970's and featured in National Geographic Magazine for its unique structure). I used the liquify filter in Adobe Photoshop to create this. That filter makes your "brush" so fluid, it's like drawing with it.
I printed a 13x19 of it and had it professionally matted and framed! It was also one of the 76 matted and framed photographs that I included in the June 3-30, 2011 gallery show in Arlington, Massachusetts.

I don't do abstract photos very often, but I kinda like this close-up. I like the contrast between green and black as much as the different curved shapes. Perhaps u like it, too? ;)
