Abstract art by frankb

Shot with a Canon A-1 with a 50/1.4 using Kodak Tri-X 400.

Took this photo during my short 1 week break back in Hong Kong for my birthday. Big thanks to Euky who volunteered his own time in taking me to this location for the shoot. I was always fascinated by housing estates and the lifestyles which surrounded them even though I have never really lived in one myself. With the government tearing these places down in favour of newer public housing these places are really getting rare too. Hopefully this one lasts till the next time I am home for me to shoot it again. View On White

This was created with derwent and prismacolour pencils, along with fine tip coloured pens, including metalic gold and silver that makes it a little shiny as well.

If he had just looked, before putting his boot down.....

This one might be a little removed from my usual seascape images........

I spotted some outdoor artwork whilst on a macro shoot with long time friend and fellow flickr photographer Joe Micallef at The Hunter Botanical Gardens at Heatherbrae NSW; Australia yesterday.

I've done a little enhancing and a big boost of saturation and contrast to give me this end image - hope you like it!

Some of us older flickr persons might recall the Psychedelic period of the 60's :-)

Have a great day and thanks for any comment for this or any of my other images!

Taken in the parking lot of Quaker Stake and Lube Colerain in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Kinetic photography (kinetic meaning “caused by motion” is an experimental photographic technique in which the photographer uses movement resulting from physics to create an image. This typically involves the artist not directly holding the camera, but allowing the camera to react to forces applied to it in order to make a photograph. This can include, but is not limited to; holding and shaking the wrist strap of the camera while taking a picture, dropping the camera off of objects while taking a picture, throwing or spinning the camera up in the air while taking a picture (called a camera toss), or rigorously moving the camera while taking a picture, etc. As the photographer has surrendered control over the camera to physical forces, this technique tends to produce abstract, random or blurred-motion photographs.
