Nothing Gold Can Stay

Nature's first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf''s a flower;

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.

So Eden sank to grief,

So dawn goes down to day.

Nothing gold can stay.

On a gorgeous, mild Sunday afternoon My wife and I went for a spin on the London Eye. I timed the ride so that we would crest the top of the world's largest ferris wheel right at sunset. It take about half an hour to do a loop on the wheel, so the trick is to get on about 15 to 20 minute before you want to be at the crest. I was lucky enough to be in London for some of the best weather they had all year (so they told me). This is a view of the structure standing directly underneath it looking up.
