"Infamous" spirituous drink, containing 70% alcohol, and based on a root known as "wormwood". Absinthe, also known as "The green fairy". The constant companion of most of the radical artists of the XIX Century. It help them while searching for inspiration to paint or write.
The spirit has been banned in many countries since around 1915, except for the Czech Republic, Spain, and few others. It was vilified by the mainstream of the early XXth Century. However, no evidence shows Absinthe to be any more dangerous or psychoactive than ordinary alcohol.
Picked up a Kübler absinthe fountain at an antique store for an astonishing $10, and I couldn't be any happier with it.

Grande Absente. Did not go for the sugar melting ritual, but still. Strong stuff it is. As it says on their website: Remember, Grande Absente is a traditional French 'Verte' absinthe recipe at 138 proof (69% ABV%), so please drink with caution.
