I made a big grown up decision today. I'm not quitting my job. I have job-ADD. As a result, change jobs quite frequently, and need to stop that awful behavior.
I work at a center that provides 1:1 ABA therapy to children diagnosed on the Autism (www.autism-society.org/site/PageServer )spectrum. It's hard, challenging, and more days then not end up wondering why I do what I do.
This picture will serve to remind me these children are my heart. I do what I do for them, for all the surprises and improvements that happen in their lives.

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services hosts a CalFresh Awareness Month (CFAM) community kickoff event at East Rancho Dominguez Park in Compton on May 4, 2022.
The County's CalFresh Awareness Month (CFAM) is annual campaign to help prevent food insecurity and promote healthy eating by informing County residents about the CalFresh Program. CalFresh is California's version of the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Ten years ago, Trent Theroux of Barrington was nearly paralyzed in an accident in Narragansett Bay when a powerboat propeller sliced into his back four times. Fortunately, his spinal cord remained intact, and Theroux, now 44, was rehabilitated through hard work and perseverance. In the past decade, he has not only demonstrated his determination by competing in triathlons and Ironman competitions, but also in his commitment to improving the lives of those with spinal cord injuries by working with the non-profit RISE above paralysis, which supports injured individuals and their families.
