Am I out of my head?
Am I out of my mind?
If you only knew the bad things I like
Don't think that I can explain it
What can I say, it's complicated

Hooded vultures taken in Masai Mara, Kenya. International Vulture Awareness Day, 3rd September 2022.
It is suspected that this species is currently undergoing an extremely rapid population reduction owing to indiscriminate poisoning, trade for traditional medicine, hunting for food, persecution and electrocution, as well as habitat loss and degradation.
Wildlife poachers sometimes poison vultures because their presence in the skies near animal corpses can alert rangers to their illegal activities.
Because many species of vultures are social, vultures are highly affected by poisoning.
Over a hundred birds can be killed at just one poisoned carcass.
Vultures are the ultimate recyclers. They can strip a carcass in just a few hours.
They keep our environment clean and disease-free.
Many thanks for your visit, comments, invites and faves..it is always appreciated..
Peaceful Sunday
My magical forest
Gives me time to think
I can go for hours and barely meet anyone
Doing my thinking
I love my dwelling upon things
Rethinking
Am I on the correct path
Do I need some corrections
Do I still have old patterns that I fall into
Thinking they are mine
Yes
There is always the old way of doing things and I can only change them if I am aware of them
โฆ.and then between 2 bushes we saw a male Blue Wildebeest slowly walking in the direction of an open area.
It was not aware of the Lioness nor of our jeep.
The Wildebeest was about 40 meters away from the Lioness and even closer to us when it noticed that it was not alone....
The Lioness immediately launched her attack bursting into full speed and the Wildebeest ran away turning in our direction.
This is the SECOND image of the series.
There was no time to change any settings ( or actually even to breath โฆ. )

The young on the back of an adult Eared Grebe is vocalizing, possibly to indicate hunger. Or perhaps it is expressing satisfaction with its situation in life, getting carried about like this, maybe already aware of how good it has itโฆ Of course it will face challenges, especially once it leaves its birthplace here at Francis Lake, north of the village of Herbert in southcentral Saskatchewan, Canada.
quote by Og Mandino
thinking about this a lot today.. how the adversity and challenges help us to grow.. and also how the truth sets you free

I have been debating recently whether to post about this. Its a bit of a tussle between me being reluctant to go into my health publicy vs a strong desire to raise awareness to my like minded friends about something a bit nasty that I think landscape photographers, hikers, campers (really anyone that loves the outdoors) should be really careful of.
My health was great until the summer of 2019 when I was suddenly knocked off balance by a range of weird symptoms. I was put on beta blockers for a racing heart. My speech went all weird. I was pretty scared. Finally this summer I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease (aka the Great Imitator) as it copies other illnesses and can be misdiagnosed. I had to be tested to rule out MS etc... Even after the correct antibiotics I am left with speech fatigue (I just sound a bit drunk all the time), brain fog and constant nerve tingling. This is the reason why I had to take redundancy from my job.
However I am lucky. I have a reasonable quality of life. For a start I still have enough energy to get up for sunrises. Some sufferers are in a lot of pain, fatigued and bedridden. I know of someone who partly lost his eyesight.
I may have to seek private treatment in the New Year from a Lyme specialist clinic despite having no job. This is the reality for a lot of LD sufferers.
Because ordinary mosquitoes love me (I'm always getting bitten) I don't remember my tick bite and this proved costly and made diagnosis harder, I spent months blaming the meno.
Please look out for ticks all year round. If you do get a bulls eye rash go to the doctor without delay and get antibiotics. Don't wear shorts on summer shoots. Carry a tick removal kit.
There is loads of information on the Lyme Disease UK website and their support group has been invaluable to me.
Thank you to my friends on here for being supportive. Sorry for the long post x
When I look at this image and see the hardness in it, I think of how grateful we have to be to have health, to have people who love us, family, friends, work ... this man sitting alone with no one around and beside of a church ... how ironic right? I wanted this minimalist image to give more meaning if possible to our life, to raise awareness and be grateful for every moment we have here ... on this little blue planet ...
Please don't feel compelled to comment!
If you read this I will already feel very satisfied and grateful ... I will have achieved something good today!
Have a great day today and may your dreams come true!
On May 12 it's ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia International Awareness Day.
This week we try to bring awareness, recognition, and support those who suffer ME, CFS, and conditions with similar effects.
This is an issue close to me. I suffered from CFS for years. Family members, and neighbors still do. Everyone probably knows someone who does. It is a trial, a seemingly endless journey.
I wish you light, life, energy, health of mind, and body.
Blue for you - ME 2022 is the theme on Smile on Saturday this week (7-May-2022).
