I had hopes, I'm not going to say I didn't.
When I offered Mohini a couple of my Polaroid cameras I was not using and a package of expired promo 600 film, I was just hoping at least she would give Polaroid a try, put that experience in her pocket, add it to her done checklist of things.
What has happened is quite wonderful. She has fallen head over heels for instant film and she is paying it forward by doing the same for others, bringing friends to the Polaroid fold.
It warms the cockles of my heart to see this shot. It was taken while picnicking under the sakura trees (i had a bento box from Red Fin at the Hotel Max) at the Quad. It was a perfect Seattle day. Sunny, blue sky, no clouds, dry, cool. The Quad was packed with happy people enjoying the pink blossoms everywhere. I was supposed to be there for lunch and a few photos and ended up spending the whole afternoon there, sitting on one of the benches, watching students on the slackline, families and friends enjoying the beautiful day. I even got a little color on my face.
Later on, our friend Tea joined us.
This is Mohini with her SX-70 and the ATZ film she had purchased at Glazer's and that I picked up for her. Needless to say, she was over the moon. And so was I.

A beautiful sunny evening, light falling on favourite buildings on my cycle to the station after work.
