Whilst on a visit to Tetbury, Glos. the other week we popped into the Highgrove Shop for a quick look around. We had no intention of buying anything (the stock is high quality but the prices are eye-watering!), but when we spotted a small selection of Wentworth puzzles - exclusive to the shop - we had to buy one. We chose this view of the Monastery Building at Mount Athos and willingly paid the price as it's a 1,000pc, so we knew it wouldn't be a rapid 'make'. It has 63 whimsies, a few of which are multi-piece, all more or less Royalty-themed.
The design is taken from a watercolour painted in 2000 by the then Prince of Wales, now HM King Charles III, and although expensive, it's still considerably cheaper than the framed limited edition signed lithograph of the same image, which sells at a whopping £2,950!
A keeper... 😍

Greek is commonly used in all Greek monasteries, but in some monasteries there are other languages in use, in St. Panteleimon, Russian; in Chilandari, Serbian; in Zographou, Bulgarian; and in the sketae of Prodromou and Lacu, Romanian. Today, many of the Greek monks can also understand English or other European languages
