Mount Athos is a mountain and peninsula in Macedonia, Greece. A World Heritage Site and self-governed state in the Hellenic Republic, Athos is home to 20 stavropegial Eastern Orthodox monasteries under the direct jurisdiction of the patriarch of Constantinople. Today Greeks commonly refer to Mount Athos as the "Holy Mountain".
Μία από τις ομορφότερες περιπατητικές διαδρομές του Αγίου Όρους είναι αυτή που ξεκινά από τις Καρυές και καταλήγει, ύστερα από εύκολη πορεία δύο ωρών, στην Ι.Μ. Ιβήρων.Το μονοπάτι τέμνει δύο φορές τοπικό ρέμα το οποίο γεφυρώνεται από ισάριθμα γεφύρια. Το πρώτο, που είναι και μικρότερο, έχει κατασκευαστεί το 1887 όπως αναφέρει ανάγλυφη επιγραφή πάνω του. Επιπλέον φέρει και ανάγλυφη πλάκα με το σχήμα του σταυρού. Η κτητορική επιγραφή σώζεται και είναι άμεσα ορατή απο τον διαβάτη μιας βρίσκεται στην άκρη του γεφυριού. Πάνω της με δυσκολία διακρίνονται στοιχεία σχετικά με τη δαπάνη κατασκευής της.

Mount Athos (Greek: Όρος Άθως) is a mountain on the peninsula of the same name in Macedonia, of northern Greece, called in Greek Άγιον Όρος (Agion Oros, transliterated often as Hagion Oros), or in English, Holy Mountain. Politically it is known in Greece as the Autonomous Monastic State of the Holy Mountain. This World Heritage Site is home to 20 Eastern Orthodox monasteries and forms a self-governed monastic state within the sovereignty of the Hellenic Republic. Spiritually, Mount Athos comes under the direct jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.

Kloster Dochiariou (griechisch Ι. Μ. Δοχειαρίου, Rechnungsführer) ist ein griechisch-orthodoxes Kloster in Athos, Griechenland. In der Klosterhierarchie des Athos belegt es den zehnten Rang. Es wurde vor 1013 durch Dochiarius gegründet und befindet sich am jetzigen Ort seit ca. 1100. (Quelle: Wikipedia)
Momentan leben ca. 20 Mönche in diesem Kloster
Athos nuestra mascota en acrílico y de gran formato, 66 x 81 cm. con todo su colorido se presentará en la Exposición individual de Ferran Llagostera titulada "Moments d'Art" en la Galería de Arte "Blanca by Erai" de Sant Cugat del Vallés -Barcelona- a partir del sábado 11 de Marzo hasta el 22 de Abril. Por ello bien merece una buena puesta a punto, aquí en primicia os presentamos la nueva imagen de Athos. Esperamos que os guste y nos vemos en la Inauguración!!.
