While I didn't go up to the big Warbirds show in Virginia Beach (I know, I need to get up there one day) I still found a couple of warbirds at the open house at what we call our local "Angier International Airport".
Had no idea they had an open house going on until I drove by - as you can see, the grass strip is literally next to the road. That let me play with the settings a bit, since I didn't know I'd be shooting any airplanes anyway.
This performance at the White Lake Township Library in Michigan was supposed to be outside as part of the Library's Concert in the Park series. Rain brought the program indoors, and they played acoustically inside the Youth Department of the Library. This performance was part of the Fiddlers ReStrung Summer Reading Program for Michigan Libraries and held at 7pm on Wednesday July 22nd.

Sunday I ran in the 5th annual State-to-State Half-Marathon in Oxford, OH. I was one of 38 people who had done all four previous races. As a special present, they gave the five-time finishers copies of Geoff Williams' book, "C.C. Pyle's Amazing Foot Race." Geoff was on hand to sign our books for us. That was a nice touch and enough to encourage me to drag myself across the finish line once again.
