At Black Diamond Mines, took some great pictures near the summit of the hill north of Rose Hill Cemetary (37.9591, -121.8738)
Taken in front of the west gate of Riken (Institute of Physical and Chemical Research). The road between Wako-shi Station and this spot is named “Nihonium Street.” Nihonium is the 113th element discovered by Riken.

I left my shutter open for about 16 seconds for this one but it wasn't quite what I was hoping for...
Built between 1940 and 1959 by the bureaucratic authoritarian dictator, Francisco Franco, this monument is a basilica built in the gap created by blasting through a mountain in Northern Madrid province. It was meant to commemorate the fallen in the 1936-1939 Civil War, but it was built with the blood, sweat, and lives of the defeated in the war.
