Taken at the Fastiques Rod & Custom Car Club's Pumpkin Run Nationals car show and swap meet held at the Clermont County Fair Grounds in Owensville, Ohio.
Except for all the spit and polish and lack of numbers and a roll bar, this looks more like an old dirt track racer than a street rod, particularly given the exhaust system which doesn't appear to be street legal. I don't recall seeing many Plymouths coupes of this era set up nearly like this one. It sports a 383 stroker and many other "go fasters" which should certainly make it scoot impressively and the yellow paint job and "Rat Fink" logo on the rear deck only add to the attraction. Clearly a well done hot rod.

Sir William Wright, the founder of the company that carries his name, passed away in July 2022 year at the age of 94.
From small beginnings in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, he built a multi million pound company with worldwide connections.
This blog (2 of 2) is my small tribute to the man and to all that he achieved.
He certainly had the ‘Wright’ stuff.

Sunset at Gerupuk Bay, Lombok, Indonesia.
This is a high spot in gerupuk bay where u can enjoy the view of kuta lombok beach and can see the famous "batu payung" from distance.
Had beautiful light tonight so I grabbed my camera and ran out the door to find these two bright red boats tied to buoys in the river at a town nearby. I never met a red boat that I didn't like :-)
Located at 520 North College Street, the John J. Metcalfe House was built in 1894. It is believed to have been designed by George Franklin Barber, who designed thousands of balloon-frame Victorian houses similar to this during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Waxahachie is a lovely county seat community located in North Texas directly south of Dallas. It serves Ellis County and was home to roughly 38,000 residents in 2020.

Caught the ferry from Torpoint and this was taken at the Plymouth side. The ship next to the crane is HMS Cumberland, a type 22 frigate.

The Hollywood Sign (formerly the Hollywoodland Sign) is a landmark and American cultural icon located in Los Angeles, California. It is situated on Mount Lee, in the Hollywood Hills area of the Santa Monica Mountains. The sign overlooks Hollywood, Los Angeles.
"HOLLYWOOD" is spelled out in 45-foot (13.7 m)-tall white capital letters and is 350 feet (106.7 m) long. It was originally created in 1923 as an advertisement for a local real estate development, but it garnered increasing recognition after the sign was left up. The sign was a frequent target of pranks and vandalism, but it has since undergone restoration, including the installation of a security system to deter vandalism. The sign is protected and promoted by The Trust For Public Land, a nonprofit organization, while its site and the surrounding land are part of Griffith Park.
The sign was erected in 1923 and originally read "HOLLYWOODLAND." Its purpose was to advertise the name of a new segregated housing development in the hills above the Hollywood district of Los Angeles.
The sign was officially dedicated in 1923. It was intended only to last a year and a half, but after the rise of American cinema in Los Angeles during the Golden Age of Hollywood, the sign became an internationally recognized symbol and was left there.
In 1949, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce began a contract with the City of Los Angeles Parks Department to repair and rebuild the sign. The contract stipulated that "LAND" be removed to spell "Hollywood" and reflect the district, not the "Hollywoodland" housing development. The Parks Department dictated that all subsequent illumination would be at the Chamber's expense, so the Chamber opted not to replace the lightbulbs. The 1949 effort gave it new life, but the sign's unprotected wood and sheet metal structure continued to deteriorate. By the 1970s, the first O had splintered and broken, resembling a lowercase u, and the third O had fallen down completely, leaving the severely dilapidated sign reading "HuLLYWO D."
In 1978, in large part because of the public campaign to restore the landmark by Hugh Hefner, founder of Playboy magazine, the Chamber set out to replace the severely deteriorated sign with a more permanent structure. Nine donors gave US$27,777.77 each (totaling US$249,999.93) to sponsor replacement letters, made of steel supported by steel columns on a concrete foundation.
Pictured is a trooper from the Blues and Royals at Horse Guards...The Blues and Royals were formed in 1969 from an amalgamation of the Royal Horse Guards, which was known as "the Blues" or "the Oxford Blues", and the Royal Dragoons, which was known as "the Royals"...As a result of the Options for Change Review in 1991, the Blues and Royals formed a union for operational purposes with the Life Guards as the Household Cavalry Regiment.
However, they each maintain their regimental identity, with distinct uniforms and traditions, and their own colonel. The Blues and Royals currently has two reconnaissance squadrons in Windsor, which are part of the Household Cavalry Regiment, and a mounted squadron in London as part of the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment...Instead of being known as the Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons, the regiment is known as the Blues and Royals and is therefore the only regiment in the British Army to be officially known by their nickname as opposed to their full name...On ceremonial occasions, the Blues and Royals wear a blue tunic (inherited from the Royal Horse Guards, also known as "the Blues"), a metal cuirass, and a matching helmet with a red plume worn unbound, and against popular belief the regiment's farriers wear a red plume like the rest of the regiment but do not wear the metal cuirass. In addition, the Blues and Royals wear their chin strap under their chin, as opposed to the Life Guards, who wear it below their lower lip.
On service dress, the Blues and Royals wear a blue lanyard on the left shoulder, as well as a Sam Browne belt containing a whistle. In most dress orders, the Waterloo Eagle is worn on the left arm as part of dress traditions.
The Blues and Royals, as part of the Household Division, does not use the Order of the Bath Star for its officer rank 'pips,' but rather the Order of the Garter Star.

This cute little reddish-purple mushroom is in the bolete clan and has pores rather than gills underneath. Said to be edible but too small to bother with in my opinion.

A gorgeous sunset during me & my cousin’s outing here at Salinas River State Beach. Just breathe in that fresh sea breeze... This was a very spontaneous outing that I planned. I was missing my ocean sunsets so when I saw that it was crystal clear by the coast, that’s when I asked my cuzz if she wanted to tag along. We finally went to see the sunset at the Salinas River State Beach, located around Moss Landing, CA. We arrived shortly before sunset so we still had time to take in last minute ocean views before the sunset took place. We later stopped at Sonic in Gilroy for dinner before heading home lol. Despite such a brief outing, we enjoyed a mini road trip to the beach! (Sunday, ‎November ‎13, ‎2022)
*A bit about Salinas River State Beach: The beach & dunes at Salinas River State Beach are part of Monterey Bay’s unique coastal dune system & it is home to many species of birds, including the California brown pelican, red-tailed hawk, American kestrel, western snowy plover, western gull, black phoebe, western scrub-jay, California towhee, white-crowned sparrow, and more. The beach is a popular fishing site & provides scenic panoramic views of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, a federal marine protected area. The location is picture-perfect for sunsets as well & is close to restaurants around the vicinity. The beach is also never crowded which is a plus! For sure, I’ll visit this beach again in the future.

Teotihuacan is an archeologische site located at 40 km from Mexico City. The site is an old Mesoamerican city known for its 2 pyramids: the pyramid of the Moon and the pyramid of the Sun.
The flashes in the middle were set by intention to support the base of the tree, however, I'm not so happy with the result. Nevertheless, it is the only shot made in that night that can be shown.
Moments later the clouds had taken over the whole sky and staying at the scene was pointless.
I spotted these two young women at the Hassan 11 mosque in Casablanca. I am unsure what they were reading. Supposed to be a candid shot but one spotted me!
