Busy and very hot day. In the evening we retired to our beach hut at Tankerton where there was a lovely breeze and a stunning sunset. We stayed until 02.00am, laying on the grass, staring up at the meteor storm that is the Perseid's, about one every 8-to-10 minutes before driving home, windows down and music on, bliss.
Tonight its an evening trip to Oare Nature Reserve and the hunt for the Barn Owls and tomorrow we are dropping Phoebe off at Ashford Station and the rest of the day is ours!
Displaying at old warden England. The aircraft has been refurbished and repainted, by Air Leasing Ltd, in the colours of one of Hawker’s Sea Fury prototypes coded SR661, which was a modified Fury Mk.II with a tail hook fitted, but without the folding wings included on subsequent production Sea Fury’s. The aircraft is currently based at North Weald Airfield, Essex, UK.
At first I thought this tiny male might have been on the look out for nest building materials. Now I'm thinking he might be a young one as it seemed to be even smaller than usual. And they are already so tiny.

Bald Eagle at Conowingo Dam. Just a little North of the Chesapeake Bay, on the lower Susquehanna River in Conowingo, Maryland, is the Conowingo Dam. In 1928, when the dam was complete, it was the second largest producer of electricity in the United States after Niagra Falls. The location is popular with photographers especially in late fall into Winter and especially when the dam is letting water through the turbines. The Eagles come to feed on fish below the spillways and create a lot of opportunity for photo enthusiasts. I think the issue start at home. As you may notice, parents give their kids’ phone from an early age that did not overpass two years. Can you believe it! ELECTRONIC SOUL.
Phones are now a day more sophisticated and developed that help every person to reach anyone anywhere at any moment, but the question remains: why the medium who gathers us disperses us? Are smartphones killing the planet faster than anyone expected? Is that logical?!
The world is progressing very fast in all fields, involving technology. The phone was developing so rapidly over the last few years. It became more closely embedded in our day-to-day lives than ever before, and I could describe the propagation of smartphones as plague, Speedy, and quiet. So I wanted to intervene in that by giving a voice to a subject that has had no voice.
When we’re looking at these images, we’re looking at how Chinese citizens are addicted to their phones, therefore I want from my project to enlighten this current issue, also the dangers that could generate from this issue like depression, loneliness, ...
If you told me back in 2000 what these devices would be capable of in around 20 years, I’d call you crazy, and I wouldn’t be alone. Back then, no one could have predicted the impact phones would have on our lives. It would have sounded like science fiction. This got me thinking: What will smartphones of the future change in our habitude as humans?

I never knew this memorial was even here! Located on the other side of the GTR bridge, Allan's Mill was initially a wooden mill purchased and built for the Canada Company by William Allan. Completed in 1832, the mill quickly became a noted part of downtown Guelph and was replaced by 1850 with a mill made from limestone. Standing at five storeys and running seven mill stones the Allan family continued to operate the mill until 1876. William also completed a distillery on the other side of the Speed River, which sold both Gin and Whiskey. David Spence continued to operate the mill until a fire destroyed it in 1966.

At the end of my working day I changed into my long boots.
I don't mind giving up my time and money to produce (or I try to) the photos viewers want but it has to be on my schedule and terms.
I can now see why some girls block.

Parchment paper for the ocean, shoebox for the sky, onion salt for the sand,miniature seashells from Cabo, twigs for the support of the hammock. There you have it!
Northbound CTA 6000s at Willow St, 06-27-90. If you look in the area below the tracks, you can make out the subway portal. Back then, the outer tracks were still somewhat intact, although unused for many years. The interesting building seen here alongside the tracks is still there today.
Disney's Wedding Pavilion is a facility at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida that hosts weddings, vow renewals and commitment ceremonies. Located on the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon near the Magic Kingdom theme park, the pavilion opened on July 15, 1995.
The non-denominational chapel seats up to 300 guests and is only available through Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons program. According to Disney, the site can host up to 6 ceremonies at the Wedding Pavilion per day. The Disney Wedding program can host weddings in many locations across Walt Disney Property - however, the Wedding Pavilion is the most widely used.

Rio Durant the diminutive, four-limbed Ardennian sets the stolen AT-Hauler down on a Vandor snow field due to the weather closing in. The weather is incredibly unpredictable on this unspoilt frontier world due to the soaring mountains and large plains creating their own micro climates. Even though Rio is a capable pilot coupled with AT-Haulers powerful engines they still struggle in storms.
I went to the same driftwood so many times to try to shoot it with different lights. This is one of them.

Winter scene at Reynisfjara near Vík in south Iceland. Normally this scene is very dark with all the black lava sand and dark rock in the cliffs. This time of year it was all different with white dominant colors in the sky, in the snow on the mountains and in the waves of the sea.
Also in winter the rivers get much smaller. It helped here as normally there is a river between where I stood and the rock pinnacle. With cliffs just behind me this exact spot is hard to reach when the river is there.
The cliff is called Arnarklettur which means Eagles Pinnacle. I dont think there is an eagle living in it anymore but there might have been ages ago.
An Evzone on guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Syntagma Square in Athens. The Evzones are an elite branch of the Hellenic Army and the men are selected specially for this unit based on a number of requirements, one being at least 6' 1' tall.
The Tomb is in the French urban and classical tradition, combined with the modern spirit of Art Deco and with symbolic references to Ancient Greece. The main issue was the integration of the Tomb with Syntagma Square and with the neoclassical Palace and the contribution to the redevelopment of the square. The sculpture is at the center of the wall. To the left and to the right there are two side staircases while in the center there is a rectangular raised grave. The stairs of the monuments are purely decorative, as the steps are for observation during ceremonies. The sculpture represents the naked male figure of a dead warrior lying on the ground. He holds a circular shield in his left hand and wears an Ancient Greek-style helmet. The representation of the body gives the impression that the Unknown Soldier is ready to arise at any moment.
To the left and right of The Tomb are sculptured phrases from the works of Thucydides. To the left, "There's one bed made, but, still, empty: the bed of the unidentified soldiers"; to the right, "The whole earth is the sepulcher of famous men". Both quotes are from History of the Peloponnesian War. Over the main sculpture in smaller writing, is a sculptured phrase which reads "To an unknown soldier".

The main landscape photo was taken on 16 January 2014 in the Charentaise countryside and the shot of the moon (enlarged for effect) was taken in 2008, also in the Charente.

This is an old picture I shot when I first started using a DSLR. It had a curved horizon and at that time I didn't know how to straighten it. I've come a long way since then... This is one of the most memorable sunsets I've ever seen at Tanjung Aru beach. The sky was awesome. I have never seen patterns in the sky like this again. I felt lucky to be there at the right time and this was the best I could do with my limited skills in 2010.

This was my first time at the Los Angeles Comic Con. It was an interesting experience - some pros and some cons. The pros included great Cosplayers willing to shoot with me. The major con was that everything was inside. Most of the shooting was in the lobby and artist alley area so it was tough to get photos without a bunch of people in them and the lighting was iffy. The Convention Center has outside terraces but they were off limits. Bummer.
These photos are from the Saturday session - it was pretty cool. I took these photos in early December 2022.
So, for the next few days, Imma just throw around some pics of my modded AT-ST.
Despite how it looks, I've made quite a few modifications. For example, a missile launcher and a gunning turret (which you can just about make out in the top right).
Fair warning, some pics will be mildly blurry. I put my hands up and admit it: I am not a great photographer.
