Colorado Springs, CO - I think this flower is from some type of aster but I'm not sure if I've properly identified it. I tend to photograph flowers and not attempt to identify them until much later ...
Symphyotrichum novae-angliae (Aster de la Nouvelle-Angleterre) (sauvage, parc de la Yamaska, Montérégie). est une espèce de plantes à fleurs de la famille des Asteraceae originaire d'Amérique du Nord. Macro 1:1.
Aster is a genus of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae. Its circumscription has been narrowed, and it now encompasses around 180 species, all but one of which are restricted to Eurasia; many species formerly in Aster are now in other genera of the tribe Asterea.
Photographed in Prince Edward County.

The last of the beautiful blooming fall flowers in my mom's garden! Love
the soft mauve petals against the yellow centers.
Though asters are normally a fall flower, here in the desert they show themselves in the spring as well!
Looking a bit bedraggled after rain! Aster Amellus also called 'King George' is an older variety of perennial aster, and one of the best with its prolific, early, long-lasting show of violet-purple daisy flowers that heralds the end of summer and continues well into autumn.
The rains came down..., and so did some of the wild asters.
After having received some rain on the 16th, 17th, and yesterday, plus fog during the first part of the morning today, our yard had an abundance of nice, damp dirt. I found this moisture covered grouping of wild asters in front of our house resting comfortably upon it this morning.
