Bothrops asper - yellow beard viper, shot from the ground level, shallow depth of field. The most dangerous snake in south america.
This is generally a low spreading shrub with pink/pink-white flowers through June to October in many locations. It forms flat fruit on the plants which are held by the plant.
Notice the seed cases at the bottom of the photo, popping out of the fruit with a fluffy parachute to help blow the seed to a new location.
