Like many ladies I have a lot of colourful and flowery dresses, but I also like simple clothes in stong distinctive colours like this deliciously blue squared neck dress.

阿蘇スカイラインドライブ

this is the grand shrine for aso city.

aso city is situated inside an active volcano named mt.aso. inside the caldera are several small towns forming the present day city of aso.

the volcano is the biggest in japan and it is still active. however, instead of spewing out lava (not magma because magma is inside the volcano, when it comes out it is lava, ah ha!) it is generating giant plume of white steam. I will post some more photos of this steam later.

last major eruption happened 90,000 years ago. this doesn't mean the volcano will never erupt again or become extremely active. but for the past 70 years to date, it is a pretty benign volcano with breathtaking grass field anywhere you look.

this temple from what I was told, is sort of the guardian to the town, providing blessings to its people.

this structure is a 2 maybe 3 stories tall wooden pagoda/entrance. it is a registered national historical site.

This is an enchanting beauty spot near the town of Antequera on the island of Bohol in the Philippines. The Mag-aso Falls, with a drop of eight metres, are twin falls and remarkably picturesque against this backdrop of tall trees, wild plants and deep ravines.
