works its way into our silent rooms.

After being grouchy all morning but insisting she wasn't tired, Amanda finally quieted down. After a few minutes of not hearing anything, Jeff went in to check on her and found this scene on the floor - her asleep and a whole pile of her "friends" lined up neatly next to her. She slept for 1.5 hours like this!
This is the first picture of my "Asleep" series I want to continue this year. :)

You can see by her tail hanging straight down that she's deeply asleep. Abbey loves the warm vent and soft whirl of the fan on my 'puter.
The hypnic jerk is what you experience when you´re about to fall asleep and you suddenly "jump" , feeling like you´re falling.
In my series The Sleep Project I investigate the state between being awake and falling asleep. I´m searching for surrealistic landscapes to illustrate the many strange things that happen in this state of mind.
This was shot at the Reynisfjara shore near Vík on Iceland. Oh that place is truly magical! I need to go back to Iceland soon!!! :)

Fynn dozes on a blanket on the sofa. There are not many options these days as the weather is horrible, still very wet and windy. I'm sure he dreams of sunshine .... and bugs.
